Wow some of the stuff you come up with.......I never thought of this.....I have a Beisemier fence also and have noticed when Im running larger pieces of mdf or ply wood that the finished cut has a very slite bow to it in the middle....Ive gotta test this with a guage and see what the run out is as Im cutting....Great Idea ....thanks.
I know I'm responding to a 6 year old video. The thing that really caught my attention was the holes you have drilled into your ZCI! I've thought about it, and predict it would be great at helping with dust collection. Please tell me your inspiration for doing it, and how it's performed?
It helps so much. At first I had a hole cut in it just to stick my finger in for pulling the insert. Then I started noticing how much dust got pulled into that hole when my collector was on. So I added more which helped even more.
I think if you get a new saw especially an import I would check it straight away. If you have moved the saw or the saw has taken a shock like a big kickback I would also check it. I am going to rework my table saw extension table this summer and will do a complete video on the method I use. But here is a picture of the last time I did it. askwoodman.tumblr.com/image/76531520594
too cool man! im a CNC machinist as well and i head you mention your precision plate you use i will definitely have to make me one of those!!But i did check everything on my new TS when i got it and didn't have to adjust it very much but im still not sure on how OFTEN i should just go threw and do preventative maintenance on it? once a year once a month ?(given that saw has't been moved or taken any shocks. also i have this saw great for a semi serious wood worker and i must say its an awesome saw for the money highly recommended and easily adjustable for an extension for a biesmyer fence already converted mine ;) thanks so much for the reply man!
