BIG '5' and Silver Dime! First Hunts of 2024 at the Old Lake Park

Back at the old lake park for the first hunt of the year. No silver on the first hole dug of the year but we did manage to eke a deep squeaker of a one on the first outing and something pretty sweet on the next outing back on 'wreathed mound' where lightning does strike twice!

Thanks!👍😊 I’m thinking the soil conducts the signal better than air. Will have to give the Nox900 with the 6” coil a try there and see what happens. ATB and happy hunting!

Well done Darcy, there is somethng about KG5 nickles that excite me, I guess for whatever reason they are hard to come by with the Nox....and it is in very nice condition!

Thanks Dave!👍😊 They certainly are awesome to score! It had been a real hot spot area with multiple LC’s and wreathed silvers but now I’m just digging every signal out of it and it seemed to pay off here. It’s the 2nd big 5 from that spot now. Take care and happy hunting!

Some nice KG5 coinage. I personally have seen the 11" coil do the same thing once a coin has been uncovered( no longer hear a signal) and have seen it happen on other peoples videos. I always check those deep consistent 39s now. ATB
