Thank you for this video! I’m on the hunt for an aftermarket exhaust for my GT4, and hearing the options in a single video is a huge help. Extremely well done.
Thank you for talking about our exhaust components! We have a wide range of offerings from headers to tips - and a Valved Exhaust to for those who like control over the valves. -Mike
Anyway to get back the pops and bangs/cracks for a 2024 2.0T with GPF? it seems with no PSE available in Europe and monitored GPF the backfire in Sport Mode does not exist anymore
I had the soul race but eventually sold it only due to the in cabin drone from 2-3k rpm. My ears felt pressured after driving it was terrible. But above 4k it was amazing. Shame :(. Thanks for the organized video
Thanks! I will be back with a video on over axel pipes and one for the street headers. Might need to combine that one with complete systems due to the manufacturers only releasing videos with the full systems at this moment.
Nice video mate! Wish this was around at the beginning when I was looking! I had (have) one of the first few Spyder’s in the UK and ordered my exhaust within 2 days of picking it up. It needs it, PPF is a killer. Owned the 981 Spyder which was mental and this 100% needs the exhaust upgrade. Once done, it’s the better car in every way (no mean feat - the 981 Spyder is a bloody awesome car - I would love to own one again). I went with a JCR titanium unsilenced, although modified so the valves are always open. Sounds awesome and I love it - beautiful exhaust and such good quality. Tbh they all sound pretty good, all good options but I can 100% recommend JCR
Reference the separate valve control unit what we really need is someone like COBB to support the GTS/GT4/Spyder which will allow us to configure the OEM PSE RPM control And also mask the GPF monitoring. Great videos by the way really helpful narrowing down exhaust rear boxes. 👍
Great comparison. I live in Germany and I decided to go for the Cargraphic Racing for my Spyder. I can confirm the Sound is Perfect now. 😎Installation was a little tricky. But finally its a Real Porsche now. The combination of Handling, Design and Sound.
Hey! One thing Im a little surprised of, is that many of the manufacturers claimed early that it would probably be an easy fix to bypass the monitored opf-systems and install a 'straight pipe' instead without CEL. However, no one seems to have cracked this as of today?
I have the JCR titanium OPF delete pipes- non silenced. They give a great sound. It's on my channel but I haven't done any severe runs, but you can get a good idea on the short video.
My opinion of the sounds: JCR - awesome! Fabspeed - okay Acrapovic - okay Cargraphic Racing - good Supersprint - no Kline - good BC - okay Soul - good Litch - okay JCR was my favorite by far
Thank you for the comparison! Theyre lot of options but im looking for no customs exhaust in Europe. I suposse the KLINE. I Will text when i buy. Thank you!
Any idea on the performance gain claims? I saw a video of someone from the US lost apx. 10 horsepower from JCR titanium exhaust (no ecu tune), dynoed a month a part in similar condition at a professional shop.
I have not had a Fabspeed-exhaust myself but I know they use really good components and that their setups for manufacturing is high end. You will most likely be very happy with one of their exhausts. :)
Great comparison, and I’m glad I found your channel! Looking at your car in another video I’m guessing you’re based in Sweden. Can’t hear though, great english!
BCFab and Kline seem to be the only contenders for sound anyway. May be the way the sound was recorded but Kline was my number one prior to this video and still is but the BCFab sounds great… maybe better than the Kline but the manufacture of the Kline is the top to date and still my number one.
Which brand and model has the best backfires when accelerating and going through the gears and when downshifting? I found it surprising that the oem gt4 does not make any backfires and burbles at all- ever. My 911 992 in sport mode does make backfires and burbling sounds when downshifting…
Stock none of the GT cars does this except the 981 GT4. 🤷♂️ I guess there is a reason, but I agree, I would love it to have some backfire-sounds. I now run the Cargraphic X-pipe racing and it has some. But i have some over axel pipes with OPF delete and a tune coming. Might allow for some more. :)
I’m based in the U.K. and considering the Kline system (either 100 or 200 cells) - apparently using an OBD to reset the ECU error would not leave any trace in the ECU and hence won’t affect the Porsche warranty - any views? Also, does anybody know if the 100 cell version passes the U.K. MOT? Thanks!
If you are in the UK I would consider JCR or similar. Great systems and no extra import tax. Also, there will be a trace in the ECU if you use the OBD. You will need to access the actual ECU if you want to do it without a trace. But unless you are doing a OPF/GPF delete, you wont have any issues that you need to take care of with a tune. :)
@@WheelsToys great, thanks a lot. So if I understand correctly, unless the OPF is reset / there’s an engine error after installing the 200 cells pipe, I should be good re retaining the warranty? JCR is much more expensive despite them being U.K. based..
Hi !'many thanks for this very good video. However be careful as the Akrapovic video is with OPF bypass if I read well the 'small letters on the video'. So not very representative of what the muffler alone will bring.
Im aware of this and have updated it in socials and the followup video. Cant edit the video once its uploaded. And can't really remove it because of this. Have also talked to JCR about it. But thanks for pointing it out. :)
@@WheelsToys No problem, they make it well know on the forums they refuse to use stainless steel hence why I wanted to make you aware! Thanks for the video.
Hi Vaccaro! There are plenty of more options than what I listed, but these are the most popular once and the once I think are interesting for different reasons. The Capristo exhaust is of a very simple design similar to many of the others but without offering something extra for the extra price they charge.
Jcr and soul are the 2 best sounding exhaust for this motor... Also these cars are a decent amount over 100k loaded so most owners aren't worried about warranty wich can be voided if you've been found to have been racing the car wich again most owners are going to do. If you modify the car it's designed to work with the factory exhaust opf and they also under tune the car. These motors are about 500hp in all actuality on 93 not 420. If you're going to modify it its best to have it tuned with the modifications that's where you will see the most benifit you will likley have the same or loose power without tuning doing these mods
