In this one, we FINALLY return to the Yellowstone river after record shattering floods and are greeted with absolutely fantastic treasures! We set out on Kate's Boat to go do some island hopping, and within seconds of setting foot on the first stop, I found a four pound agate! That luck continued throughout the day too, as we found amazing agate after amazing agate. I have never experienced such a day; It felt like every time I turned a corner there was another beautiful agate laying in wait! We did run into some issues with the boat, so we were only able to hit one island, but even with the hiccup I had such a blast hanging out with everyone! I hope you all enjoy this one and I will see you all next time!

Oh absolutely! You have security upstream if things go wrong, that wouldve been a waaaay different scenario if we had gone downstream😅 just lucky we ran into some kind strangers! Even with the issues though, it was such a fun day!😄 thanks so much for watching!

I do like the hunt and find videos but I would love to see more of your finds cut, polished and the end results of those finds. You don't have enough of those! I imagine it's hard to keep up!

There are more coming very soon actually, in the next week or two! Ive got 4 or 5 lapidary focused videos in the works currently😄 The lapidary videos are just much harder from a time standpoint, they take waaay longer to film and edit than the hunts do so it can be hard to fit in when im busy, combined with the fact that i have to go outside to do all of my cutting and weve been consistently getting high 90 degree weather its just miserable out there right now😩 we are coming up.on some nice weather this week though so im going to be taking advantage of it and do as much cutting as i can!

I have to admit I very much prefer the agates in all their gorgeous variety to most ther stuff, with agatized wood as a second place. But the Jasper-Agate at about 18:30 is AH-MAZE-ING!!! I love your whole crew. All I could think was that you needed your wife and the dogs… then “We’re going to need a bigger boat” ran through my head. 🤣

Hey Theo! I can't wait to see the slabs from that first agate. I saw the one with the wide quartz pocket in Kate's video. From some angles it looks like lips with teeth. Every time I see it, I start singing, "Feed Me, Seymour!"

So…. About that plume vid…. Lol! Dude! What a day! You know it’s gonna be a good one when you barely step off the boat and a 4 lb agate jumps out at ya! Hope the river is a lot lower in a couple weeks plus a few rain showers hehehe. No ulterior motive whatsoever.😆

Its coming i promise!😂 i have been so insanely busy that i just havent had much tome for lapudary stuff lately🤦🏻 im hoping to get it started this week though; its been like high 90s to low 100s every day this month but i finally have a window where i can go outside and cut some rocks without getting cooked😂 we actually just got some insane rain yesterday! And more in the forecast so it should all be low and clean soon😁

OMG you fpund so many amazing agates and that plume was so cool! That coral was my favorite find! I love fossils, so that coral was awesome! the agatized wood was gorgeous but my favorite agate was the one with the green moss in it! So cool! Just a great day! Sorry to Kate and Jim about the boat but man, what a good day!

It was such a crazy day!😄 the agates were just all over the place! The coral was definitely one of my favorite funds as well, i love finding that stuff and definitely have never seen one that big before😄 cant wait to get it polished up! That green agate really surprised me too, had no idea it was green until i got it back and cleaned it off. Thanks so much for watching😄

My husband and I sometimes talked of moving back to his home town which was by a nice river! Getting a boat to go to rock hunt along the river was our first thought. Life’s been different. So happy for all of you!! MY GOODNESS DOESN’T really describe it! 🧡❤️

Hi Theo, well that hunt went well. Some super finds from that location. A tad jealous here, we don’t have a big river here in my area that delivers such a harvest of agates, Jasper & petrified wood and so many of you4 pieces are big chunks, wow. I caught Katy’s video before yours and apart from the motor mishap it looks like you all had an outstanding hunt. It will be cool to see Kim’s video of the hunt as well. That location delivered so many outstanding pieces. My favourite would have to be the jasper, followed by your first find of the day. Really enjoyed the video. Keep Safe.

Was out on the Yellowstone on the last week of July found a huge potato sized piece of imperial green jasper and over 100lbs of agate and jasper.

Cool finds, I hope to find some cool things to when I go to the beach. I know for sure there won't be agates since there's none on our shore. Yet we have some other cool rocks. I kinda cheated a little, and bought some bags of river rocks from a dollar store. To see if they had anything interesting, they certainly did. I got the usual quartz, what looks like marble. maybe some tiny agates, it's hard to tell ( all the rocks are coated in some kind of wax) Some petrified wood and animal teeth. My sister says they're just rocks but Idk. They look like teeth, they are stained like teeth, they even make that definite sound of teeth grinding together when I rubbed a few of them in my hand. I don't think they're super old either they're not that fossil black color (like I seen in every fossil tooth picture I Googled) I still think they're cool though. Even if I didn't go find them myself.

Awesome finds! Love all the agates and petrified wood you found. I was seeing some really pretty jaspers when you were on the island but completely understand why you weren't looking at them with all of those big, great agates there. It stinks that Kate and Jim had motor problems but glad to hear they got it fixed and running again. Thank goodness for the kindness of strangers! Absolutely! That couldve been a very different scenario had we not gotten a tow back to shore😅 but very glad to hear the issue has been fixed! We will be doing a "take 2" very soon! Its usually so hard to avoid the jaspers but with all of the agates piling up i figured i oughta control myself😂 thanks so much for watching!

Cutting video coming very soon! It has been hard this summer because i have to go outside ti do my cutting and it has been consistently high 90s, low 100s so you just get cooked out there🤦🏻 but i have a window this week where we can get out and cut some rocks! And as far as cutting agates i always try to cut parallel to the banding, usually gets the best results😄
