I am Hawaiian. I have been following your group for a few years now. I have always felt so fortunate and blessed by being able to learn what all of you share about your culture. I also love to cook. You have now given me one of the most valuable things I hold dear to my heart. I cook to make others happy. Food is a universal aspect of everyones lives. This is a true gift and I am forever grateful!
How I love this channel, and the warm fuzzy feeling I get when the gentle kindness of these people is evident! Don't concern yourselves, I'm a grandma in central Portugal gentlemen! Seriously want the TPT cookbook with extra rotis!! All the best to your dedicated viewers and fans!
Olá, Diedre! What a lovely comment - and i feel the same way! My soul always feels lighter after watching them, as if my family had just visited. And it's that way with all of them - ladies included. I've never met anyone from Portugal before (I'm in the Blue Ridge Mountains, two hours north of Atlanta), but my goodness what a stunning country! If everyone there is as kind as you, move over, I'm coming 😊. Have a blessed rest of your weekend, friend 💚🙏🕊
Need a "Tribal People " tee shirt to sell And maybe ones with all 4 gentlemen on there or individual tees with one of our guys on each onr Imagine a red tee shirt with a big Gul Sher on front in his fancy white turban with the colored poms on it?
@@waynet8327When I was in Jr. High and high school the kids beat and abused me and the teachers would do nothing. I quit when I was 16. That's the soonest you can quit in Wisconsin where I grew up. I got a GED when I was 18. If it wasn't for reading, art, and music I would have gone nuts. In grade school I read at high school level, in high school I read at college level. Reading and music saved my damned life. Still does. It was my escape.
If Mr. Chaudhary wanted to learn how to read, all four of his children could teach him. He's worked hard his whole life to be able to afford to send them to school and maybe even college. He's a very proud man and I don't think he wants anyone to feel sorry for him. 😊
I hope this leads to the global spread of knowledge about their traditional dishes and, ideally, to some attention from the likes of Gordon Ramsay or another prestigious professional chef. There's some good food here that most of us know nothing about, and a great opportunity for these men to earn some royalties.
Oh oh. I dont like big announcements. Ok this is a promo. I can handle those. The last announcement you made was when they demonitized you. Congrats on your cookbook.
Bet you a dollar he knows numbers really well though. Lol. He might be illiterate but he's not ignorant. I don't feel bad. That's just life for him. I think he lives good thanks to this channel. I can tell he's happy that he's loved by many, many people who don't even know him. Love from Fresno, California.
I do not feel ‘bad’ either. He seems to be thriving with a medium that does not require reading. You bleeding hearts need to grow up and realize the everyone has limitations. Rather than be all sad about what isn’t, cheer up and recognize the strengths that people have.
Illiteracy is common among villagers in their generation. They worked to help support their families, and that was of greater importance than actual education. It does not mean that they are uneducated, because instead of focusing on being force-fed the content in books, they learned life skills needed to sustain the basics of human need and life. If you took two teenaged children, one American child and one Village child, and placed them on an uninhabited island together alone, you can be guaranteed that the village child would fare far better in survival.
It's a PDF download. The recipes are very easy to follow and it's beautifully illustrated! I've had it for a little while now and have only made the biryani so far, but it's delicious!! For my next adventure, I'm going to try my hand at making their famous pickles! 😊
Are there any vegetarian recipes? I’m the only vegetarian in my family so I’d like to know if the recipes are adaptable. 😊 Edit: I’ve ordered it anyway! ❤
I'm not being rude, I'm just saying leave the meat out of any recipe and it is then vegetarian. A Lasagne made without hamburger in the sauce is still Lasagne, I find green lentils a 'meaty' replacement that is frankly just as yummy.
It's a beautiful cookbook and the recipes are very easy to follow. They did include the history of each dish and it's been fascinating to learn more about their traditional food! Gorgeous illustrations too! The biryani is delicious!
What is it about this cookbook that offends you? Are these good people not allowed to seek out ways to better their lives? I hope you find some happiness in your own life. Maybe it'll help you be more kind.
If he can't read then why don't they the team who controls this channel teach him , I know why it's because knowledge is power and they don't want him to have power of any kind
He's worked very hard for years, to send his children to school. His income from this channel has helped him do that as well. All four of them can read. If he wants to learn, they could teach him. Maybe he is learning. Maybe it's just not that important to him. Besides, what business is it of yours? Why do you assume the worst about others? This channel has done so much for every one of its participants. Please go take your baseless accusations somewhere else!
When you reach a certain age it becomes more difficult to start learning. Especially if you have never learned before. It does take a certain attitude that can become very hard at that age. He is happy as it is and can get by. That's really the main important thing in life.
Your screen name fits your additude. The people that run this help all the participants greatly. Why don't you put your money where your mouth is and pay for him to go to school?
