Thank you! It’s a Strathmore Vision mixed media sketchbook. It’s pretty good but if you plan on mostly swatching watercolours, I would get a watercolour sketchbook. This one is not the best to see the full effect of granulating paints.

If you don’t like touching the powderiness of pastels, you may like to get the SOFFT tools with the blender pads to apply your pan pastels. And an awful lot of pastel artists don’t use fixative on the finished product either. You just have to be careful how you frame them or put glassine paper in between so they don’t get smudged.

I’ll try to use them with my little sponges and then I’ll see if I need more heavy duty tools haha! And yes maybe I’ll just put some glassine because I feel like fixative sometimes leaves a texture on top of the paper which I’m not a fan of…

Yes that’s what it is!! When I bought it I thought maybe it was an old version or something like that because it looked different but the sticker clearly said Neocolor II… But no!!

@@LaurenceP-art If you have a Derwent blender pen, you can use it with the olive green Neo I. It blends out in a similar manner as the Neo 1’s do with water.
