Lyrics:
Somebody I never met
But in a way I know
Didn't think that you could get
So much from a picture show
Man dies first reel
People ask what's the deal?
This ain't how it's supposed to be
Don't like no aborigine
Ritual ideas relativity
Only buildings no people prophecy
Time slide place to hide nudge reality
Foresight minds wide magic imagery

I used to listen to this on cassette on my first walkman in the summer of 86 when I was 16. My Dad died that summer while it was still in the charts, he was only 55. I often wonder if he ever heard this on the radio while driving around in his works van before he got ill. I hope we liked the same music, I reckon we did. Love you Dad.

Dad also died in 86 @65 just before I turned 16. Liked his jazz, old rock, country, big band... Lawrence Welk Show ftw! He was also very good about the music I listened to and would dance around while MTV played whatever (like it used to do!) xD Good memories.

A golden age of music …. Listening back to much of the 80’s, it’s astounding to witness the breadth and scope of artists visions and ideas being executed… it’s clear that the musicians created from their own calling rather than the idea of what might be successful … maybe an inversion of much of what has been going on for many years in the current commercial scene. That’s what was wonderful; bands who were anything but obviously commercial being appreciated for their brilliance and individuality. Love this track. So fresh

I grew up in Oklahoma City, and back in the 80's it was damn hard to find "underground music" (called "alternative" in the 90's). Anyway, I was something of a mall rat, so driving down to Dallas (parents driving, I was a few years away) and, being able to wander the Galleria mall for hours was like heaven. I had seen this video on Mtv and found the cassette in a record store, and my dad was cool enough to buy it for me. Other great trax on the cassette, but E=mc2 was the best. When the movies are viewed as Predictive Programming to this song makes a lot more sense than what the internet states... Loved it back when it first came out... 2 reasons I keep coming back to it... It is a timeless GEM... and there is a message, how the hell he knew it back then is the question. Keep listening... and read the lyrics.

Spent good time with Greg and Leo, Don has been on decks supporting my old band and during my last bands gig in Portabella. Meeting Mick on yhe four or five occasions blew my brains. Greg is the reason i play drums and Mick and Don are responsible for so much of who I am today. BAD for life.

I never understood this, and I might of been guilty of some stuff later in the 80`s that I didnt like as I thought it was too commercial. ...because as a kid i remember hearing Rock the Casbah on mainstream radio in 1982, how could that still be punk. I remember not being interested Siouxie souxie after she took off the makeup towards the end of the 80`s, as I though she was too pop (music was a bit popish). Now I wished I went to that concert in around 1988....oh well teenagers always think they know everything

I also DJed in the 80s, but as a mobile DJ ,starting in the late 80s. was just after I got out of college, so it was like weddings, sweet 16s, bar mitzvahs etc. Your telling me that this was a big dance song in college in the 80s? This must of went to a progressive college. it’s a great song, but I never thought of it as a nightclub dance song.

I saw BAD in concert in NYC in support of this album. FANTASTIC SHOW. I remember, and him about ten or so feet away from me as he came onstage, that Mick looked like he'd just had about four shots of Jack Daniels and about the same number of good lines of good coke. Maybe that's what made it such a great show.
