The fact that we all heard of this game and we're all watching it on RU-vid tells me that basketball is moving in the direction of boxing. Friday night fights in local clubs. Multiple belts, you never know quite who the champion is. Promoters and gamblers and side deals and set matches and local favorites and guys/teams that are just their to pump up your record. This is no longer fundamental play for the win basketball. This is give em a good show and sell some tickets and some drinks and some pretzels, etc. It's fine. It's not what it once was though. When you watch the 100 meter dash, you can objectively say if the competition is good or bad. When you watch basketball or boxing it's just a match-up of people trading shots and it's all relative and subjective.

This team is nothing but hustle players that foul and make a few jump shots. They play zero defense outside of pressing and the offense is nothing but one-on-one. Ball has no fundamentals, play no defense and passes to no one on his team. I understand that Compton is more talented then Big Ballers, but the Big Ballers aren't well coached at all. Poor shot selection, lack of ball movement, and too much dribbling, and of course not a lick of fucking defense. Sure, Let's press a more talented team from start to finish. I have never missed a shot as badly as Melo's first shot of this game. Though I also never scored 92 points in a game. The best in a game with uniforms was probably around 20.
