My first car was the little 63 sports coupe . Back in the mid 70,s Shure that little car won fee races in it at our local drag strip, and on the street. THANKS ALOT GUYS FOR BRINGING BACK OLD MEMORIES 😎
I could listen to these stories all day. My dad used to talk about the race days and now it's just me. Dad raced the 55 Chevys in the 60's and now I'm building a 55 Chevy 2 dr post. Still kicking around which motor is going in it first but it's started. Love your channel.
Loved this series guys. Im new to watching your channel and absolutely loved this little series. They dont make em like your pops anymore. Luckily I had the privilege of knowing a man from a young age who was just like your pops. He ended up being my father in law. He was a legendary engine builder and all around gear head. Taught me so much. Sadly we lost him to cancer a few years back. Just nice to see a solid genuine guy making do with what he has. Thanks for the memories. Love from California
Loved watching the 3 pt. series about these guys. THEY are whats good about gasser racing IMO. The older I get (62) the more I appreciate this stuff. Gassers, nostalgia drags etc. They took something that was next to nothing, and made it a beautiful jewel. Even tho they have been having way too many issues, they are winners. Thnx for publishing their story and I look forward to eventually seeing them and others run.
One of my favorite types of Drag Racing ,The Fabulous Gassers . Glad there coming back, well you know what I mean . I remember when they were the biggest part of the show . Back then stockers were just that ,the same cars that Dad and your uncle's drove ,minus all the extra weight . Then you had the kiddie show Wheelie popping Little Red Wagon , The Candy car Jolly Rogers .Then it got serious with the Jet Cars. Then you got your Gassers , Top fuel , Alcohol ,Nitro . But the Gassers , and of course the Altereds were one of the best shows out there. Showing my age I guess. But approaching 70 , I must say that I still love it. You boys are doin it right, and having fun . Good luck on your build and I'll be awatchin.👍 Nusub.
This is one of the most interesting and entertaining interviews I had ever heard !!!...this guy is Top Class Act and southern Gentleman and his car is racers dream car ...one Fast Ford and First On Race Day ...made me a fan cant wait to see and hear more from Misfit in 2020 !!

@gubbylee he won't come to his senses I don't think. And I quit following his channel when I found out the engine he put in it. He's just too lazy to build a small block or big block Ford. Sure they're more expensive to build but are just as good. Maybe he should have Roush Yates hook him up with one of their engines or John Kaase

I watch Street Outlaws all the time and I really like cool old Fords. I did see the show where y'all ran Miss Fitt,. I had to rewind and watch it more than a few times... Very cool car and very cool videos..Old straight axles are top in my book... Thanks for sharing....

@@NitroUnion Well that was me and my brothers firsr time down and when we heard it was the last we were very disappointed . We were gonna hit lots of the Gasser Races this year but then Covid happened . But thanks for the first awesome memories you made for me and brother .
When I was younger I would build model cars and I would always build pro street/gasser. Nothing looks better than tubs in the rear and that nose up in the air. Love these videos!
There was a time in drag racing, when it was not about the team, sponsors ,million dollar contracts and drivers. It was about the hot rod and the men who engineered and built it. In my hot rod world, it's not about me ,it's about the cars.That is where all the fun is. What a great car and back story. Thanks from South Carolina.

Great documentary, I really like this car but it's a parts breaker and a heart breaker probably because of its weight. Hopefully, there is light at the other end of the tunnel and Miss Fitt can become more reliable.
Big blocks rule and only people that have had one pegged to the metal would understand. Oh and that mud racer was sweet to!. That 638 you have, I dropped one in that 1978 4x4 you see for my pic and also have aluminum rods in it (C&A's) 10. 200 deck bbc, sbc journal on the big end. Would you happen to know anyone that say blew up a couple rods I have one in need of replacing.
I got around 6 to upload myself on pro tree, (best pass 200' of mud was 4.216 N/A) but want to do it in 1 video and don't have the capacity to do it right now but soon.
the only difference between men and boys is the cost of their toys!......I relish the love(hate) relationship we have with our rods....when its all said and done.... as you say "that motor don't own me a penny" and "we thrashed thru the nite and there comes a certain point, when you just have to shut the door and go" hodrod/streetrod religion, for sure. You just said it....many(myself) have said it...."my first thought was...thats it...I'm through racing, I cant do this anymore" but as you know, its in the blood....you can and will do this some more...lol So good luck...we will look forward to more of Nitro Union...and pay that debt back to Ronnie!
It was actually a hook from a tow rope that had broken earlier that day, we thought the hook fell off and was lost, but it was stuck in the suspension of the car in a hard to see spot. This is a good example for people to not stand behind the burnout box at the dragstrip, if something comes off a car and goes under the rear tire it could be a deadly projectile. This particular track has walls behind the box for that reason, it's a great idea.
Stick with us, we’re Ford guys at heart, it was just a budget based decision, but also a temporary solution, we have plans for the future that involve some verrry cool Ford stuff!
