Sub-minute is impossible, BKS are 100.265 and saving over .2 off this run is not happening

@@RobL350 BKS can always be improved, after all its just the best known sectors. You need to put a TAS on the track to determine roughly where the human limit is.

@@phase0400 That is what I am saying. BKS combined (best known sectors) I believe could reach 1:00:190 but not the overall time without some new strat or revolution like a stat patch increase.

Sub 1 is always a possibility, unless someone has tool assisted this track, the time will naturally keep improving. BKS only tells you the best known human splits, and humans always make mistakes. For example, people said at 1:00.700 that 1:00.500 was impossible, look at the time now a couple years on.

Sure we can keep improving. But by .3? We thought .500 was impossible because it almost is. An incredibly precise run on a very technical track. It'd be interesting what a TAS would give but I don't know that there'd be any speed runners who would tell you that's possible.

@@holidayhares6476 It almost was* and no it was always within the realm of BKS. Also, no speedrunner in recent time on this track has mentioned that a sub 1 isn't possible either. Would love to hear their opinions.

Most likely not, this track has been played to death and barring any major time saves, probably nothing will be able to shave off the remaining 0.362 seconds. Keep in mind this was only a 0.03 second improvement. Even if you add up the best possible segments it’s still around 1 minute and 0.26 seconds.

@@UltimaSpark50 i haven’t been able to find anything the mk8 tas community seems nonexistent. I use ryujinx so I’ll maybe look into it some more.

@@floppa933only Yuzu supported TAS. Before I tried to make TAS on Yuzu, succeeded to record input and play it. Second time I tried to make TAS with Swi-TAS (the tool which can make TAS on console) but it doesn’t support the newest CFW so I can’t.
