I don't see how dominance should be a categorization for the top 10 wr's, as having it optimized but having competition should be more impressive, no? I don't really understand why having 1 person dominate the leaderboards be a category for why it should be ranked higher
@@yveltalsea Dominance makes the world record itself special rather than the track's difficulty. The dominance of a world record is a metric that doesn't need to be included in a list of the top 10 most mechanically impressive world records, but since this is about the "best" (an inherently subjective metric) using dominance gives the records a more desirable prestige as opposed to showing a record that could be broken at any moment. it isn't perfect but it adheres to the majority viewpoint of what is "best".
My favorite WR is Big Blue 200cc. Even though the dominance isn't there, the fact that it's so optimized with several players going for WR shows how hard it is to achieve the WR. Plus, how could you not love Big Blue with its ultra shortcut?
It gives too much air when done optimally and because of that is slower by around a few hundredths of a second than mushrooming at the start. It’s especially important on 200cc because it takes longer to get to top speed on that cc
Hello Gyro ! Very interesting video, it's very cool to showcase the Time Trial mode, and some of its great representants ! I hope you keep doing that in the future, as it's not done often by competitive ytb players ! Some of them WR are really amazing ! Since I only play 150cc I'm generally not interested in 200cc but, I have to admit that some of the WR are really like a slap in the face lmao, it's really impressive to see players reach this kind of level on a single map ! However, there are few things that I think can be improved in the future : While it can be self-explanatory, I think there should have been a more clear description of what the three criteria mean and especially how do you guys interpreted them ! For example, I feel like a track like bWS, which isn't that much optimized could/should be on top 10 (11:55), like it has the potential, yet you decided to let it in front of the door (which I understand). Optimization is based on such a great score, I would really like to know what you consider "well optimized or not" 'potential or not" when you explain the note. Along with that well, when you give a note to a WR, I would like more precision and details to why you give that note and what could be improved or what not, what do you consider difficult, is it easy, is it random, etc. Most of the time, it was "Yeah it's not 1st because there are a few things that could be improved" but you don't say what, why, etc. I really want more details when you do a ranking like this. Like you've said for sgf at 23:10 I would have liked to hear more about others' players opinions, like you said for MW for example (20:13). Imo, honorable mentions should be either at the beginning, before the top 10 or before the top1-3, idk it feels weird in plain middle to me, but that might be myself. And if you actually made the ranking for the 23rds WR, I would have loved to see what were the 23 WR shortlist at the end (with the notes) To finish, I'm surprised TTC was not on the 10wr, for me it's such a difficult track, it's so hard to get a consistent good time. The strats are understandable but really not simple to do. The top 10 is like ? A 2 second marge I think ? (might be wrong) So yeah that was all I could say for now about this video, I hope it doesn't sound rude or anything !! Congrats and keep up the good work buddy

part of the dominance portion is the lead you have over 2nd place, and his lead hasn't been the biggest on it especially recently. Also I would rate Ster's rWS dominance higher even tho he hasn't always had the WR on it just because he always has a massive lead on a track with some of the most and greatest competition with great times

Celeste is not Mario Kart. I don't see why you felt the need to try devaluing these records by bringing up another game that is completely different in almost every possible aspect. Not to mention that Celeste any% is 25 minutes long. Comparing the amount of time saves in that to something that's less than 2 minutes long like they're the same thing is just unreasonable.
Please show us hand cam!! Look up "mk8dx handcams" and check out how well those videos do relative to how many subscribers they have. Its actually crazy. Please do a hand/controller cam
