Micro jigs 1/64 oz and 1/32 oz micro bluegill jigs that you can make at home. These homemade jigs are killer lures for shellcracker, redear preach, bluegill, warmouth and crappie. Fish these jigs on 2 lb test line with a spinning reel and ultra lite spinning rod (slow) for some awesome fun. I just slip on a tiny plastic bait glued to the jig head. I’ve tied jigs and flies and like the flexibility.

Good Morning ,Sir I just Love the way you got your setup ! I do DIY Things , more than anything store bought ! Your Micro jigs should get some very nice Gills ! Thank you for passing this information on to us Regular people, who don’t go out and get things already made at some terrible high prices ! Take Care and Be Safe

You can use a drill. You can buy a cheap fly vice for $15 and it'll accomplish everything you need a basic vice to do. And use the pliers to hold the hook not the eye. You'll have more control over your hook and fight with it less.

Thanks for your information. Appreciate you creativity. My most productive jig was made from transparent yellow bow from the dollar store. I haven’t seen any flash like it yet.

Those jigs look incredible. What kind of jig head did you use to make that off-white one? Looks super good. I also love your DIY setup there. Figuring out how to make stuff from things you already have laying around the garage is one of the most fun and satisfying things, isn't it? Great video and content on your channel. Just subscribed!

I started fly tying at the beginning of this year so far it's only wooly buggers for bass and steelhead. Use maribu for the tail and feathers around the bodies.

My first vise was a large hemostat , bobbins made from antler tips , still use 1 antler bobbin now . Works well

Take a piece of cork on that hook tip. Well not interfere with tying fly. Save a ER run!

Better to hold jig at the bend of hook. Then there’s no worry about getting stuck. Also try “hard as nails” nail polish instead of glue. I think it works better than one drop of glue. I put it all over the thread so doesn’t get beat up by all the blue gill or crappie. Squirrel tails work great too

You don't need the threading tool you can put the thread at the entrance to the tube and suck on the other side it'll pull it through

buy a fly tying vise, and cut you 4.75 min introduction to about a minute. but I like the jig itself
