I don't know how you do it, but publishing every day is unreal. You're great. Your content is really great. I found this to be a distraction for me every evening. I'm grateful to you. Keep doing what you're doing. Greetings from the Czech republic.
@@faustozanella1424 He blocked the 2/2 shark instead of the 4/4. If he blocked the 4/4 he would have lived. Passed turn and won. The guy either lost on purpose or missed clicked.
I know right? I was trying it out when the omnath ban went out. "So its all rogues and mill for a full graveyard? cool" as shown here though the interface is fucking awful to use and easy to make mana mistakes
Here's my wish: for 100k subs, you could release a video of "how I think about decks" in a generic way. What gives a deck speed, how much removal is needed, etc. etc.
With my comment, I will not berate you for your play but thank you for playing a variety of decks with incredibly interesting lines of play. My friends and I have a league where we use 7 random sets and play a round robin tournament every month. Since we can't really net deck lists and have to adapt based on what's available, I find your videos really valuable in your narrated logic of plays. You have a lot of great wisdom in the value of cards, filling in slots to cover bases against different matchups, and tinkering with all kinds of decks! So thank you for being so ambitious with your daily deck building and having a great growth mindset. I have learned a lot from you about Magic in general despite having played for almost 20 years now.
I want you to know that my husband and I watch you every day. You are marvelously entertaining! We think you are the best! Not just at Magic but at pure entertainment. We have played Magic since the 1990’s 1995, to be specific) and now play Arena every day. You are the highlight of our Magic experience. We are not trolling for your mistakes! So please remember, when you get comments about how you missed lethal (everyone does that!) there are MORE of us out here ON YOUR SIDE!! We just think you are wonderful!
@@JohnWick-pr8oh This hits home, i have 100% conceded games after making a misplay on that level. (My opponent deserved the win even if i wasn't punished)
For someone who just got back into it (Now Arena) regardless of "mistakes" it's fun just to learn about meta and new systems etc... Haven't played since 2009. You got me hooked on Rogues.
I've been playing a Titan's Nest/Shark Typhoon deck for a couple of months, but it has Kiora Bests the Sea God and self-mill. I'm happy to see a version of the deck getting some love, and I might try this one out!
The look on your face on the last game finale was priceless. This deck looks fun and is a good cardio workout for the left mouse button clicker finger. Creeping Omnath...(metallica headbang)#coolkids
Here's a shout to you and the great content you pump out seemingly endlessly. Thank you 💘. As far as the haters? Haters are always going to hate. I go through this same stuff with chiefs fans every week. No matter how much positive you give them, they're still gonna hate. You just keep your compass pointing North bud. Peace ✌️. Keep that good stuff rolling! 🔥🔥🔥
Great Video with a cool deck. The last game was EPIC! It's always cool to play an epic game and appreciate it no matter win or lose. Mistakes made help us all learn, thanks for being bold enough to play a new deck you haven't mastered yet.
At 13:21 there's so many options you articulate and it's crazy, that's a lot of lines to think through 0_0 good job cuz yeah that's kinda crazy. I was watching on 2x speed, so yeah.... it's like 🤯
Ok today some good plays of our entertainer: That land play at 5:07 was really nice gameplay from CGB it took under account that it enters tapped. Its a master mind move because the other lands enters the battlefield untapped and therefore he has maximum mana on the following turns.
I'm back to Magic after nearly a 10 year break and your content is informing me and inspiring me. Really appreciated your intro on quitting competition play on a previous video too, thank you sir 🙏
I saw a deck like this on mtg melee a couple times but never finished crafting it and playing it because I was really confused how it was supposed to win anything. Glad CGB is covering it and maybe I will try it out as a result.
The bottom line is that it takes an incredible amount of will power, mental fortitude, and passion for the game to make a video Evey single day for 600+ days. You are a incredible person and the trolls in the community will never have an accomplishment like that. Those people will never understand what you've been through to do what you do. If they did then they wouldn't say a word and just respect you for the sheer amount of work you've put into this channel. I respect you and I really don't say that about many people. Just keep killing brother!
At 7:55 was an amazing bluff on your part. Making it so your opponent would think you would have no good cards in hand to cast at the moment and that you had no better cards to follow it up with. That being why you only exiled the one card from gy and said before it "free shark typhoon". Probably one of the best and most thought out plays I have seen in a while.
Just keep doing you CGB! You make pretty decent content and everyone's comments doesn't matter. I was worried they got under your skin after a while but you sir are doing something right.
Not sure if you read these comments or whether you care about a noob like me’s opinion but this is an awesome(ly fun) deck. I didn’t think I was getting much value out of early plays so swapped out Bloodchief’s Thirst for Jolrael, lost the Rain of Revelation for three Into the storys, ( might as well since you have shown me how to get a huge mana pool with the nest) Reduced Whitlwing denial to three, and run four opts.
The super fascinating thing about standard right now is how much graveyard synergy there is. No set has really had an emphasis on filling the graveyard (save *maybe* Theros), but standard's just... doing it.
Nice, I've been brewing my own Titans Nest deck for a while now. Mine includes cycling alternatives to the typical sultai cards. Also loving Fae of Wishes so I can consistently pull the answers that I need for the current situation, and I end up casting it on the same turn due to the Nest. The deck in this vid is quite interesting and I might try this variant out!
Sorry people give u a bad time in comments, I admire your gaming style, mistakes you make and point later help me learn... Also, quarantine has been hard on me but I watch you every day to get by
Thank you for your videos everyday, before watching your videos i would struggle to get to diamond, I've made Mythic 4 of the last 5 seasons thanks to watching you play. Keep up all the good work.
I had the extreme luck to possess all of the cards needed for this deck, and almost all of the cards needed for the sideboard, right when it was posted! So ready to bean my ops with some sharks.
I also played against the scute swarm guy, and the exact same sequence happened! Goose, into greathorn and then removal. Luckily, I had cinderclasm against the swarm and they conceded. Edit: This deck is amazing! The matches were awesome!
Nice to finally see nest. It’s one of the most unique decks in standard. I think that Jegantha is not good, sea gate restoration main, casting for 3 blue. I like the removal, more mailing. Also shadows verdict. Also one more card is Fae of wishes, granted for 1 blue is bonkers.
I was playing against that pile of jank a few days ago and milled the hell out of it. (teferi tutelage based mill combined with life-gain and 6 wrath type spells... - against slower decks there is always a wrath available once they get to being able to hard-cast shark typhoon)
I have a tendency to comment about plays I see that differ from what you do, but that's more about me trying to keep my own skill level at least somewhat sharp while in store play is suspended. You shouldn't feel bad at all, your deck building skills are excellent and that is a much better metric of overall skill.
Not sure if you’ve covered this somewhere else, but I was curious as to how you make cuts and synergy choices while building new decks? I always end up with a pile of dumb cards and never know what to pick! 😂 O BTW, congrats on your streak @cgb! I can’t wait till you hit your next milestone. 🤙🏻
