Big Brave - Full Performance (Live on KEXP) 

I don't get the hate either. Seems like a lot of people never heard of drone metal. And a female fronted drone band is a rare thing that should be cherished. Saw these guys open up for Sunn O))) and they did a great job.

I'm really surprised at the amount of negative reviews. Big Brave is a very original band and they hit that sweet spot together when things are really cranking.

She makes me want to sing. So glad I saw them live at Daughters.

Like this band a lot, message is pure ...shes not wearing vans, shes not wearing carhartt hat etc they are not made by producers , they musicians ,tune is heavy and modest with soft voice ...wish them good future and lots of ambitious projects !

This is great!!!, drone music will allways be a cathartic experience that resonates through the emotions towards the soul. I love to embrace the holy state of reverberating, crushing sound that bands like this evoke in me.

I keep finding gold on KEXP. Idles, Bambara, Emma Ruth Rundle, Big Brave...

This is so awesome. I actually found BIG BRAVE through The Body split they did. I definitely have to see them live when they come through again.

Holy shit, this is like a gorgeous, more metal version of Swans. Amazing! (Also, if anyone has ever played heavier music in sandals, I'll have to see it to believe it! It's kinda awesome they're just wearing ordinary street clothes, rather than feeling a need to indulge in metal fashion posturing.)

Saw them live in Málaga, Spain last friday and it was awesome. Quite an immersive,beautiful trip ❤

I can get why people wouldn't like this; way too minimal, strange vocals, noisy, etc. That being said, I totally dig it. I think the dissonance and angry vocal lines make it sound really oppressive, and the clean effects of the guitars and repetitive song structures are hypnotizing. I also find it perplexing how someone would find this less interesting than Sunn O))), and I actively listen to Sunn O))). Really though, I could see this being good for people who like Jesu, King Woman, Battle of Mice, etc. doom/droney/post-metal stuff.

Wow! Crushing with female vocals. Really loving it. Reminds me of early Swans, but a little less punishing because of her vocals. Nice!

Beautiful sound like they ever did! Lovely Robin with dark drone, Mathieau did the smiling Noise and Louis-Alexandre is killing his drums! One of the best drone bands ever!

They need to work on how they sound live, but I love sludgier metal, especially when it diverts from the vanilla-guttural-screams side of things. They have a lot of potential.

This music band was the most rude and uncultured music band that I have ever seen, because a homeless person's behavior and speech was better than this band. His fans who don't know how rude this female singer and a guitarist are😔😔

I fuck with it, rarely get something I'll come back to from KEXP. This is pretty alright drone though. Just add a bassist, and less clean vocals and you got yourself a bitchin' sludge band.

this isn't coming out of me wanting to trash the band or anything, i suppose to an extent i do understand the niche value of this music. personally however i just dont understand why its this. i saw them open for sunn o))) of all bands and everyone was saying this was boring. if youre familiar with sunn im sure you understand how strange that may be saying lol. i just feel as though if youre looking for something heavy, slow, clean vocals, female lead, atmospheric, or whatever the appeal of this band may be, why did you pick them lol. idk, im more of a doom guy and this to be is just bad. something of the likes of windhand is far superior to this. i really dislike the vocal performance in this band. just obnoxious. boring band.

It's almost laughable as to how serious they take themselves. Rubbish.

Big Thief and Big Barn Burning will continue to be the only Big bands in my music library.

I get what they are doing, but they are trying to be too different and sound confused/dis-jointed. The lead vocalist has great potential, but maybe seek out another band.

It's like playing a Sonic Youth record at the wrong speed - and not in a good way.
