How to catch carp with a crankbait and a french fry! This big carp catch took place on a light tackle with 10 lbs copoly / hybrid line. The big carp caught by Caleb was also on a crankbait and bass rod & reel. When the bass bite is slow, we may have to do some more big carp fishing. You never know what you will get into with an eleven year old angler on the boat. The tip for catching big carp... french fries! They like feeding at the top so we attached french fries to our floating crankbaits and they pounded them!
