Tom Maker and CarpFix cameraman Scott McCulloch visit Gillhams Fishing Resort in Thailand. The luxury fishing venue holds a variety of carp, including Siamese Carp which go to well over 250lbs!
After being greeted by their guide for the week Nick Russell, they wasted no time in getting the rods out, and after spombing some free offerings of the house pellet & boilies, it wasn’t long before Tom’s rod targeting the Julian’s Carp was away. After a powerful battle, Tom guided a pristine 45lb+ Julian’s Carp into the net.
Throughout the trip, Nick guides Scott & Tom on the best practices and methods for catching these incredible fish. Over the course of the next two days, Scott & Tom banked a variety of species including Arapaima to over 80lbs, Julian’s Golden Carp to over 50lbs and a huge Siamese Carp to 146lbs!
