I remember when this breed was introduced in the 50s in Iowa billboards with there pictures with this slogan, "The silver cattle with the golden future" lots of feeders bought into it started to fill their feed lots only to discover the bulls are mean not like Hereford or Angus.
On a trip to Springfield, Illinois from St. Louis during the 60s, I saw a lot of this breed. My great uncle, a Missouri farmer, raised Black Angus which seemed to be popular breed in Missouri.
@@andynieuwenhuis7833 The angus bull left when the Charolais walked away. Here is my big Angus who is always looking for trouble. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KLiIkWWD34E.htmlsi=CKbu2DoDukO2qqIc
Thank you for the comment and I hope sub. I hope to one day monetize the channel and all proceeds will go back to the animals. Don’t be intimidated by that little guy. The bull in the link below is a genetic freak and the true king of the pastures. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KLiIkWWD34E.html
