Nigeria has the youngest population in the world is only wise for it to penetrate the internet space,Nigerian contents are viral,Nigeria is also the tech hub in Africa with young smart Nigerians,an example is Twitter,Twitter Africa headquarters was built in Ghana despite not been the most users on the platform but at the end of the day 80% of the employees in Twitter Africa are Nigerians,it has everything to do with ghanian attitude towards work and hustle....
even Americans and Jamaicans are complaining about the influence and spread of the Nigerians, these are high ranking musical culture countries as Nigerian music is dominating all over. Davido just launch his album but if in US and UK PROMOTING, Burna had to do a world tour, Rema etc filling stadiums round the world how do you compete ?
@Anthony Nwzosa Americans hardly complain about other music genres or artist unless they are copying the standard and trends set by the blacks in America without giving credit. Black Americans rock to Afro Beats because of its grooves, Melodie’s and tempos. Black American music is written in stone. Its influences will remain global for centuries to come. Other countries may be complaining about the growing popularity of Afro Beats but not Americans. We embrace Afro Beats and originate our own styles from America.
Ghana have some really good artists but comparing Ghanian and Nigerian entertainment is unfair. Nigeria has more popular which means every 1 Ghanian stars you Nigeria will produce 20+. Nigeria is like America in Africa, No European country can reach America. No African country can reach Nigeria. And Nigeria will only get more formidable with better government. Nigeria can become part of world power within the next 50yrs
You people miss it. The internet is for everyone and so when you put your song online you are to compete and you know your people can't compete now and that's the problem. They should do more work
Ghana is needed only as a consumer in the music industry. Please leave the music making to the talented Nigerians. We don’t want competitors, only consumers. Ghanaians don’t really understand us Nigerians or our brilliance. Domination in music and movies is just a start. Nigeria has the potential and plans to produce fuel, food, cement, cars and machinery, etc……for the whole of the 54 countries in Africa and beyond. This is the birth right of Nigeria, the giant of Africa. So when we see a small country like Ghana, trying to compete with us, we just laugh to ourselves because they can only try. The Naija brain and determination is something else, you either marvel at it or you envy it and we know what camp some African countries who cannot compete are.
Bro aside everything you guys said our Artiste are not serious with music they are just playing with the art just a few treat music as a business the likes of Sark,Stone,King etc An Artiste like MDK recently released a song about how he hasn’t taken a shower since last week and People are releasing Asiwaju and co and you expect to complete with them
I'm pretty sure there's other more pressing socio-economic and political problems plaguing Ghanaians over there, yet see how these werey people carry Naija music success for them head. Shey na how una go surpass 9ja in music go elevate Ghana onto super power ??. Omor dis people mumu too much. Everywhere you tune in on the Internet is a nonsensical Ghanaian podcast discussing how 9ja music must be outshone by Ghana. Una dey real dey craze for dat Ghana. Soon Nigeria will begin to host those Afrochella, Afronation and all that global music festivals wey una dey think say na only Ghana get the rights. Wait for it. That will be game over ! .
The idea that all artists are equal is silly.. The labels will sign the top talented artists, not any random artists.. Artists who get signed to label are signed because they are good not the other way around. Ghanaians have to dig deep and find the young talents in their country. There are too many mediocre artists in Ghana hindering the true talents from getting seen. Ghanaian hit songs in the last 5 years 1. Black Sheriff second sermon 2. Gyakie Forever 3. Black Sheriff Kweku the traveler 4. Camidoh Sugercane remix 5. Kelvinboy Downflat 6. Amarae Sad girls love money These are the only hit songs that have come out of Ghana in the last 5 years. The song by Kiddie wasn't a hit song but a viral song, same as One corner
Down flat was produced by a Nigerian producer, Gyakie's forever was remixed by omah lay, second sermon was refixed by Burna boy 4 of the songs has a Nigerian influence!!!
And it was until kwaku the traveler became number 1 in Nigeria that ghanaians started paying attention to Black sherrif and started taking him serious!
Look guys, stop the comparison. Nigeria will always dominate Ghana. This comparison is unnecessary, because you will never win. Nigeria has about 200 million people, and not just people, brilliant people. Ghana has only 30 million people. In every sector, if Ghana produces 2 stars, NIgeria will produce 50. Ghana will never win. Also, NIgeria has the resources, connections, and savviness..accept this and know peace. Also, to be honest, Ghana music does not hit like Nigeria music. Good conversation though.. I enjoyed it. Ghana is nothing but a village, with illiterates..😎😎
If you listen to Ahomka Wo Mu, your mind would probably go to a popular Afrobeats song today because it was sampled. I guess Ghanaians are asking, “where did it all go wrong” although the answer doesn’t seem far off
@@Daraa727 so about from ahomka wo mu which other Ghanaian song were popular then??? From day one Nigerian songs has always go global than Ghanaian song, in the 70s Nigerian song were certified in the US , Nigerian artiste in the 80s were signed to global records
@@fesderi3933 that’s not the point I’m trying to make. Of course there are many other popular Ghanaians songs. The problem is there is a decline in the industry and that is what Ghanaians are trying to understand. If you understand the history behind Afrobeats you would get why Naija would comes into the picture. It’s not about Nigeria but identifying where Ghana went wrong
Are u actually slow? Portable making useless music? How delusional and dumb u sound boy? Portable makes sensible musics than a whole lot of our so called A list musicians, bro. Get it right!
If downflat was a nigerian song by now is all over the globe. Kuame eugene Angela should have gone global. Jenifer lometey is a huge hit but it didnt cross boarder.
@@Daraa727 the downflat was produced by a Nigerian , the song was copied from AV , the rythm is Naija , we all know how the ordinary Ghanaian people sound
@@ecvybez9584 There is a difference between Afrobeat(s) and Afrobeat. Afrobeat(s)- a Ghanaian/Nigerian genre. The fusion of sounds that come out of Ghana and Nigeria, a genre developed in the early 2000’s. Afrobeat- a Nigerian genre developed in the 1960’s, pioneered by Fela Kuti
@@Daraa727 afrobeats with S or without S is a Nigerian glory, can't you see those Ghanaian forcing themself on afrobeats are all copying Nigerians, Camidoh, Gyakie, Kevyn boy, kidi etc , they will all remain in Naija shadows for many years to come
