Had the absolute pleasure of being at this gig the Big man and the boys took the roof of the famous barras RIP big man gone but never forgotten you took us all on an unforgettable journey many times just a shame u never knew how much of a pleasure u gave us all fortunate enough to see u live best live band barr none and I seen them all from the Great freddie and Queen inxs u2 the minds Paul McCartney thin lizzy the list goes on but stuart was just that bit more special live
Would definitely agree with you there. The best live band by a mile and I too have seen a few. This has got to be in my top 3 favourite BC concerts as the band played 2 sets, supported themselves with a cracking acoustic set. This version of Lost Patrol is immense
5 35 and it me jumpin happy as couid be right on someones shoulders hahaha ...loving it ,,bc rocked and there were the best ever live band ive ever seen.and ive seen a few in my time ,,patrica,,thanks again
Oh wow, that is brilliant, band ignites the crowd only for the crowd to fire back and ignite the band, then it’s like they’re all in as one big celebration. This is just classic. 10/10.
Why did you have to leave us Stu 😢 I always imagine what you would be producing these days knocking all the shite rap and general crap out of the charts! YOU PLAYED MUSIC - we miss you and Big Country Big Man 😢
Saw them in the 80's as a very young lad........... Caird Hall in Dundee and also Barrowlands in Glasgow a few times! Up at the stage jumping like an idiot - good times!
I was lucky to see Big country seven times with Stuart as front man and it still was not enough. But happy to say I was at this gig. Nothing like a gig at the Barras 😘
4:34 "There is no beauty here friends, just death and Danny Kaye" It's the impish, knowing grin that gives it away. A genius with a little bit of mischievousness too.
I remember Mark Brzezicki once answered 'The Police' to a question 'Which other band would you like to be in?'. Considering Mark's playing style and kit set-up, Stewart Copeland surely wouldn't mind for Mark to sit in. I bet Stewart would probably answer 'Big Country' to the same question!
I would suggest "Steeltown" and then "The Buffalo Skinners" as your next choices, and ... if you can find it ... "Live without the aid of a safety net" which is a GREAT compilation of all of their hits. Plus, it's perhaps one of the "best live albums I've ever owned. BC's live version of Steeltown on this album cannot be beat! Keep on rockin!
Steeltown and The Crossing for me are their best......... I love the early stuff......... favorite song is Wonderland released as an EP and not any of their studio albums!
another of your great vids were it belongs..... in my playlist lol..... great vid.... one almost forgets the music that started the great band and how far the went in their music.......... awesome Ian
@drk4tlf seriously dude u need to listen to 'steeltown' and 'the seer' infact every album is immensly wicked big country rock my world and they will forever! RIP stuart
