Big Country racing community steps up to help local family after tragic death 

SWEETWATER, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - Since the late '60s, racing has been a part of the Davis family. It all began with Truman Davis and has since crossed multiple generations. In the 1970s, Truman met Gil Ham, and together, they raced and became close friends. Decades later, Truman's grandson, Tylan Davis, married Ham's daughter, Amanda, in 2019. Their love for racing has passed on to their 15-year-old son, Christian. Tylan's mother, Wendy Davis, shares that while Amanda wasn't a racer herself, she made sure to be involved.
