The Pastor, as polite and likable as he is, did not address the critical debate topic. He did not address what standard was used, who was authorized and why were they authorized to canonize the Bible? God never states in the Bible that he will preserve this text. I was expecting good explanation from the pastor, but yet again as always they skip around going all over the place without addressing the issues. Brother Adnan was spot on with hard and straight to the core questions. Kudos. It looks like pastors, priests or normal Christians cant come to terms with their fundamentals. They have trouble, indeed, when the religion has been misguided by men.

In the first 20 minutes our Christian friend establishes for us clearly and unambiguously that Christians rely on circular reasoning to justify their belief in the bible. 1: Before there were books there was an oral tradition which was preserved. This is just a claim he makes, obviously there is no evidence of any such preserved tradition. 2: Since what Jesus said was preserved for the 30 or so years before anything was written down, what was written down was confirmed to be accurate. Here he just assumes that there were original documents around that 30 year mark, which relied on that preserved oral tradition we see no signs of, and of which we see no evidence. The earliest pieces of manuscripts of the new testament are around 300 years later, and they are tiny scraps of paper, the size of a credit card. Full manuscrips are found only 600-700 years later. In all the different manuscripts, you find many contradictions and changes, showing a clear lack of preservation. "No two are alike" as Bart Erhman would say. 3: And in this new testament it says what we believe is correct, and also we think it sounds like God said it based on the style. Essentially, we believe the bible is true and preserved because we the bible says it is true and preserved. With a complete lack of actual evidence to back that up. So the Christian argument so far, in this first 20 minutes, are 2 claims with either no evidence or evidence to the contrary, and blind assumptions based on the assumption that those claims are true anyway. I think he might have mentioned the holy spirit as well, which does not help him. I've seen many Christians claim they are guided by a holy spirit, and most of them disagreed with each other. Jewish scriptures or old testaments don’t talk about anything about Jesus at all. When Jesus came he said he have not come to change Torah but to rectify it and his teachings must be synonymous with old testaments can not contradict in core messages. When Jesus came the Torah was not in written form but in oral form loose much of it . So job of Jesus was to reinstate it with minor changes approved by His God . New testaments is not what Jesus told and preach to people of Israelites . Jesus spoke Aramaic which is a dead language and no written gospel of Jesus in Aramaic ever found. Greek and Roman forged Gossiple is not gospel of Jesus but it can contain few truth here and there. We can’t take Greek and Roman forged Gossiple seriously. And certainly can not depend on it for our salvation.
Forgive my bluntness but where are you getting this rubbish? The old Testament is full of prophecy about Jesus. The Torah was very definitely written down - on scrolls. We have manuscripts way older than that date. Jesus did not come to make minor changes to the Torah. He said He came to fulfil it (and he did). How do you know what Jesus taught? Were you there? This makes the Gospels more reliable than your testimony. Jesus probably spoke Aramaic, Hebrew and Greek like most in Israel at that time but He didn't write any of it down anyway. You say that the Gospels are forged. Again how do you know. Show the evidence? Also Muhammad never said they were forged so you are going against him. You say you can't depend on the Gospel for salvation, but what have you got? There is no forgiveness for sin in the Quran.
