@@darashahnazi1598 Old comment, but I wanted to let you know it made me chuckle, then I had to explain to my husband why I chuckled and sadly he isn't as easily amused as me.
It cuts away just before she hugs Eddie - you can see in the background when Jimmy is handing over the trophy that she's pulling out of a hug with Eddie. But you're right - I'd forgotten that Noel had been on her previous episode. P.S. Great reference as your username :)
I've watched and rewatched this a couple of times, one of my favourite BFQ ever. The panel's great and their interactions are great, just an all-round great episode. Thanks for the upload! :)
@Mathias Eggimann Y'know Mathias, I just don't think you and I will ever agree on this subject. I love her character on B99, and while her first time on BFQ was a bit of a slow start, I think she was in the top for me on this one.
@@paulam538 Ah, okay! Thank you for your explanation. I don't follow any of the people (but love this show!) nor do I live in the UK or the US, so I appreciate you taking the time to settle that. Have a good day!
@@tetrisgoat 2 years late but 1. he's Chelsea's husband and 2. they mentioned in this episode that Chelsea was there on her honeymoon (so ... her husband was most likely with her lol)
I once talked to a guy who refused to believe Eddie ran all those marathons. He then continued to say he actually didn't believe anyone could run even 1 marathon hahaha haha I was speechless.
I mean I know several people who have done marathons and I still struggle to believe anyone can do them. Seems like a lot running that far without someone trying to brutally murder you, you know?
@@jammypockets606 I only got one advert at the beginning of the video, then no ads at all, and I don't even have ad block. I don't think she uploaded them as monetized, I think YT just sometimes displays adverts on unmonitized videos to help pay for all the servers/company they run to run YT and it's the luck of the draw whether you get them or not. You can always skip long ads you know, dunno why you're complaining. If you were watching this on Tele, it would be way worse!
I looked up the discus statue. "The Discobolus by Myron ("discus thrower", Greek: Δισκοβόλος, Diskobólos) is an ancient Greek sculpture completed at the start of the Classical period in around 460-450 BC that depicts an ancient Greek athlete throwing a discus. " There's no mention of it being an Olympian.
Lol @1:03:50 This is is showing the 3rd team right at the end of Jimmy asking about Winston Churchill (Joey Essex asking/talking about him). And "Winston Churchill" is right over Eddie Izzard's shoulder. EXTRA POINTS if he turns around and points to him. Hilarious [and what a coinky-dink coincidence] 😂
The comedian Stewart Lee goes into this Dara O'breins use of these in one of his books ( I think "How I Escaped My Certain Fate") and more generally shows an example of it in the "And Then I Got Off The Bus Ahhhhhhh" jokes from This Morning With Richard Not Judy ( you can find it on youtube) Basically his idea is that it's some combination of a tic/deliberate technique that Dara uses to gives the audience a sign that they're expected to laugh - since he's stopped actually talking - but without the kind of implied deliberate expectant after-the-punchline-pause that might come across as overly scripted/planned. It also keeps a speedy pace to the routine up that pausing doesn't allow. This way, you tell the joke, you filler-noise through the laughter and move on to another joke. So choosing to make a filler noise after a joke could be to give the audience a chance to laugh at his joke, whilst still maintaining the illusion (or maybe reality, I don't know how much of this stuff is prep-prepared) of comedy being improvisational/conversational. Lee does a similar thing in one of his own shows, then parodies himself, by telling a not-very-funny joke and taking a sip of water for the same purpose, but then proceeds to berate his audience for not using the sipping time he provided for them " kind of magnanimously" to laugh Gee, comedy is so funny when you spend 4 paragraphs overanalyzing it right?
Irish people have little crutches in how we speak. We might sound like we’re completely unsure of where a place is when giving directions but I can assure you we know where it is.
Wait, back up, Sotheby’s never answered of that was actually those guys’s junk. I assumed it was some sort of costume thing. I was not expecting explicit full frontal nudity on this quiz show.
I see Chelsea and Jimmy as a great couple! ❤️ Edit - I read the rest of these comments and learned that's she's married. Oh well. That was an amazing episode though! Super funny, ended with a treat!
