Most thumbs down on fishing videos are mostly from the ‘vegan’ variety!! …that’s a fact bro, vegans are known for ‘reporting’ channels like Gido’s 🙄 they openly say they report this on their cultish community channels between each other… coz you killing the fish or hurting the fish with hooks and hurting the fish’s feelings🤣🤣🤣

when you look at a fish and think about the waste there really isnt much, apart from maybe the guts (some people would have things to use them in) the head and cheeks have heaps of meat on them and can be used in soups, the fillets are meat, the wings are good, the spine of most big fish is always good for the BBQ, the swim bladders of some fish (mulloway is one i do it with) fry up into almost crackling and the tail and fins can be deep fried and eaten like chips. if a person knows what he is doing there really is no waste.

Nice fish from a kayak those outriggers come in handy for landing fish , and the reverse gear on the pedal mechanism of the kayak is also a real bonus .

Something else to try is scale the fish first, then fillet as per usual, then take the skin of the fillets too. Slice skin into strips and fry in oil. They go crispy like crackling and its superb 👌

Nice work on the head and frames I do the same zero waste total respect for the fish. Get some tinfoil wrap the frame and head in that with some spice and cook it over the embers. Very light to carry in.

Again, being a good steward and setting an example of how to enjoy it and respect it. Respect the spot and it'll respect you - always believed that as a fisho. Seems to be a common theme in lots of indigenous knowledge systems too.

Hey dude. Love your channel. Just a little tip about the Hobie pedal drive. Try and use smaller faster pedals instead of pushing each stroke to the max and knocking it on the hull. Its easier on the pedal, and easier on your knees. Also lets see the launch next time! I've never seen someone launch an Adventure Island from the surf before!

Just bring a spoon out with you and scrape the leftover meat off of the frame while it's raw and fry it up in your little pan. I used to cut salmon at a restaurant and I'd have a salmon burger almost every day. A little chopped up nori mixed in for flavor and your good to go.
