Truly speaking, although I’m not apart of the LGBT community, I can say that the very first time I heard this (which was today thanks to the Sex And the City Reboot-And Just Like That), I immediately liked it and it resonated with me. I feel like this song could be for anyone walking in their truth and purpose, taking those chances, going against their fears, pushing through and being their authentic self regardless of others. Because you will always have naysayers no matter who you are or your background and you can’t let them stop you from succeeding in your greatness.
