a couple of years ago I got it because plastic resin went up by like 30% and that forced my company to increase prices of everything but resin has been pretty stable now so I don't get why they are increasing prices

HAHAHAHAHA....... Go buy any Japanese made Bandai kit and see quality difference for a quarter of the price. keeping production in UK is just an excuse to justify the ridiculous prices. GW is murdering their long term viability in exchange for short term profits. enjoy it while it lasts before the the investors take their profit and bail, but not before selling GW off to a private equity firm to gut its bones for glue

It's been obvious for years the reason GW struggle with stock isn't some nefarious FOMO strategy they just can't produce enough stock and don't have the warehouse logistics space to manage the stock they can make properly. Summer 2026, just in time for 11th edition I guess and any big range refreshes for that edition if they don't mess it up

This is fantastic news. I did wonder if the Hasbro influence would push them into outsourcing more production, but a decent size addition to capacity in Nottingham is ideal. GW as the big fish in a truly minuscule pond, often gets talked about as if it’s some huge multinational business. Even here Valrack offhandedly suggests GW is ‘one of the biggest firms in the UK’ which is frankly ridiculous. There are literally thousands of UK companies with greater annual revenue than GW.

With 3 factories, new releases are gone in milliseconds, Leviathan models took nearly half a year to get individual releases, and high-in-demand kits have been out of stock for over a YEAR. They need 3 new factories. Not 1.

I’ve never been to GW’s Nottingham factory or Warhammer World so this is my first time seeing it’s layout, but… doesn’t that existing factory look really really small? And isn’t this their primary factory? Feels like this is the sort of production upgrade most other companies would’ve had done half a decade ago. But this is GW we’re talking about, so I guess in a really dumb way it does make sense.

@@ruslanhoncharenko2179 If the business aspect of GW is internally a well oiled machine, than externally it’s a machine constantly venting awful smelling fumes to most who actually use the machine. That doesn’t sound like just a well oiled machine to me, it sounds like a good machine with a design flaw.
