Faith is a choice. You must choose to have faith. You do it with everything else already without realising. The difference with faith in Christ is that you will be rewarded for it. Jesus will send you signs every time you choose to believe and trust in Him. So try believing. You can always choose to stop believing again. I understand, as an ex atheist, that you might feel stupid, but you can keep it a secret for a while. Try it. He is real, He is alive, and He can hear your every thought. The best part is that He loves you so much, that He proved it by dying a painful and humiliating death just to have YOU with Him! Just for YOU! I used to have a cousin that would say a person doesn't know much of anything until 40, then at 60 usually you have some wisdom, then he would say if a person could know at 20 what he knew at 60 life would be so much better and easier. Lol
