Frazier, Ali and Foreman On British TV Show Very Funny. I found this buy luck the British BBC was broadcasting this as a tribute to the late Great Jo Fraziers Death. 18 October 1989
@@DanielFrancis-yh7co True dat, Ali, Smkn Joe and Marvellous Marvin Hagler would be rolling in their graves if they can see the circus boxing has become. From the greatest prize in sport to a freakin joke. FkN Shame.
Mike Felix Fraizer still had serious ill will to Ali even by then. He desperately needed the money for 'champions' forever.' Not long after that documentary, Fraizer said on an olympic broadcast he said he wished someone push him into the Olympic fire. Thus costing him his paycheck. To see the unbearable tedious nonsense of modern heavyweight boxing with no one fighting who they should, and delaying fights for years, makes me sick
@Trump 2016 Tyson loved and gave his life to the sport. I'm an Ali fan but I acknowledge the hard work and passion Tyson put into his work. After all, he's one of the most knowledgable boxing historians on earth.
@Trump 2016 Indeed. His passion died with Cus sadly, as he turned from an incredibly close up volume puncher to a mediocre mid-ranged boxer. A shame really.
We got robbed of Ali’s best years. Damn Parkinson man. Just imagine how amazing it would’ve been listening to Ali on HBO. He would’ve been everywhere like Foreman. Definitely my favorite 3 champions.
"We got robbed of Ali’s best years" Robbed of his best years ? Are you serious ? You do not his whole story. Since 1966, he could not fight during four years, because his opposition to the Vietnam War ; [ "Why should they ask me to put on a uniform and go ten thousand miles from home and drop bombs and bullets on brown people in Vietnam while so-called Negro people in Louisville are treated like dogs and denied simple human rights?" ] (Wikipédia) THEY robbed him of his worldchampion title and "His boxing license was also suspended by the state of New York" (Wikipédia). While many others fought with their fists, Ali did with his soul and the whole body, flesh and bones. Ali was not a simple boxer, but one of the most clever ans wise human genius of our time.
Boxing don't get no better than these 3 Champions.. They are men of honor..Rip..Joe Frazier...RIP.... Muhammad Ali.... Stay.strong George you are still here in 11/4/2023
But Ali brought them down to bow and go down to the floor how does it feel when he punched Ali and felt like he is beating a rock 🤘🏻 he admitted that he wants to get out of the ring most of the fighters get beaten so bad and start to loose control of his skills when mouhamed Ali gains more confidence and keeps his conversation rising to the highest level and finally found his way to bring Forman down to the bottom of the ring where he couldn’t resist 10 counts Mouhamed Ali was the greatest and he still the greatest of all time in boxing 🥊 speeches 💭conversation funny pretty all of you can think of strong 💪🏻 personality the man just gained every thing that man supposed to be
Foreman humbled himself. He wasn't always like that. Credit to him. Nice guy. And his brain is still functioning. Powerful man. Frazier got brain damaged from the boxing, but Ali's was a disease unrelated to that.
These three legends have all fought each other in the ring, yet they can all sit together and be true gentlemen to each other. That is true sportsmanship.
@@angelic_disappointment7889Big George and Ali grew really close over the years, and I believe Ali and Frazier kept a friendship until the end. I'm not sure if Foreman and Frazier were close or not but I wouldn't be surprised.
I was in the audience at the Shepherds Bush Empire for this show. It was a surprise from my then partner. I had no idea who we were going to see there. Joanne Lumley was standing in for for Terry Wogan. Tears flowed out of my eyes when the Champs came on stage. Ali was always my hero, beginning back before his ban and to see him so close up was amazing. My only sadness was Ali was very poorly and couldn't say a lot. After the show we were walking back to our car and they all appeared at the rear of the theatre. They all stopped and spoke to us for about 10 minutes, Ali even kissed my partner on the cheek. George Foreman, Joe Frazier and Harry Carpenter were absolutely wonderful. When Ali shook my hand, it was one of the proudest moments of my life. He had this amazing smile which could melt ice. Ali signed a receipt we had from a supermarket, as we could find any other bits of paper.....lol!!! They laughed and joked with us until their limousine arrived. Frazier, Ali and Foreman.......friends for life!!! One of the greatest nights of my life!!
Ali is quiet because at this time in the late '80s the brain damage was really taking effect. joe and ali both have bad speech quality in this video. words are very slurred.. they never talked like this before. Ali was only 46 in this video.
ha ha ha if Ali was in his prime no one can talk he will dominate the show. I recall “he’s too ugly to be the world champion, the world champion should be pretty like me!”
Like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. In his first run, he was a fit, quiet, brooding, scowling, no nonsense character. 10 years later, he's a chubby, bubbly, charming, business savvy, respectful minister.
It's gone done one. It's mugged the world and run away with the honour. We won't see the likes of these men again in boxing. The Saudis have thrown heavyweight boxing a lifeline. But that won't last forever ...we thought the casino era and the garden would last forever but it didn't
It doesn't make me sad seeing Ali like this. He was still the funniest guy in the room with Parkinsons bearing down on him. That makes him a true hero.
11 years has passed since i uploaded this video and now it has hit 10 million views i only wish in was getting payed for it lol Thanks for all the nice comments people. Even though Ali is at the early stage of Parkinson's disease he can still make us all laugh and that's what I love about him .
It was both humbling and saddening to watch this again, 3 absolute legends of the sport being so genuinely kind, supportive and humble to each other. So so sad to see the effects that both boxing and disease had on Joe and Ali, but there was still that wit and humour between the 3 of them, and the sparkle was still there to see. So called "heavyweights" of today should look at this video and be humbled and appreciative of what they have........
The fact that even though Foreman defeated Frazier in two fights he still spoke of Frazier as one of the greatest and paid him the highest compliments shows not only amazing class but such a great example of respect.
Thank you for posting this. I watched them all fight. Just their championship persona brings people out to watch their fights. As each one mentioned, it was not just the winning but the spectacle that brought people's interest into boxing 🥊🥊🥊.
Yes. Foreman always said that he was most scared going into his fight with Frazier. That during the stare down, usually he wanted to make the other fighter look down but not Joe because if Joe looked down, George said that Joe would have seen George’s knees knocking together. Frazier was an incredibly likable fighter.
@@jeffreykaufmann2867 huh, please!!! George Foreman himself spoke of how hard Frazier punches were. He said, he was so afraid of Frazier that instead of staring him in the eye and intimidate him before a match as he did so many others, he would stare at Frazier's feet instead, so that Frazier couldn't see the fear in his eyes.
George completely reinvented himself during his "second" boxing career. He went from a scowling monster to a big, lovable guy who won the world championship a second time and sold a gazillion George Foreman Grills.
If you look at his interviews before he started working with Liston he was like he is now. He was very humble in his youth. When he met Liston he tried to emulate his hero like many young men do.
@@bustrain8632 Parkinson's disease. It deteriorates your motor functions slowly, as well as your ability to speak and breathe. Your mind is still there, but your body starts fighting against you
These guys were the kings of their day. Including Ken Norton. Plus one of the worlds best Boxing Commentators Harry Carpenter. What a decade. I was very young when these guys were at their peak. I watched most of their fights on TV. What a privilege it was to see them fight. Ali was the G.O.A.T. What a man.
Yup, Ken and Sonny also... Ken came on with other Champs later on. He was dressed funny with a hat. He spoke so well...These guys listened. In fact, part of his skull was missing after an accident that would have finished anyone. All of these guys were made of something special... Larry also, of course. Earnie, Ron, so many 👍
Everyone talks about his power, but everyone overlooks his technique. One of his best assets was the fact he used forgotten techniques which made most boxers confused such as leverage blocks, trapping, frames etc.
Hes being extremely humble tbh 76-5 (68 ko) had one of the hardest punch ever and become champion at 45 which makes him the oldest champion. He beat Michael Moorer at 45 and give really competitive fight to prime Evander Holyfield only lost by couple of points at age of 42. Not want to take anything away from Ali but even the fight he lost to Ali wasn't that fair to him he fought in extremely hostile environment imagine everyone constantly yelling eat him Ali and even some guy trying to loosen ring ropes hes still being humble and accepting the loss. I know this program was before the examples i wrote but i wrote those to back up that hes one of the best , he was 46-2 and destroyed great fighters like Ken Norton and Joe Fraizer who both beaten Ali before this program so hes still being really humble. Im not saying he was greatest but he definetely should be considered at least.
Just watching against this video in 2020 after Kobe Briant s departure😢 ! to remember all Black GOATathelte !! ALI still despite disease the one who makes jokes and captivates the most the public !!! Great video !!
This interview gives me chill. In a world full of prepotent people, you find the greatest in their sports acting so humble and gentle to each other. May God bless these men, they are idols for generations!! Great men!
@@GeorgioArmoni a whole lot of role models out there other than rappers my g. btw i bet alot of them would rather b anything than these 3. fighting and getting their brains knocked out to make money.
Ali was 31-0 when Frazier knocked him down to win the title, Frazier 29-0 then faced Foreman who knocked him down to win the title @ 40-0. Foreman faced Ali who knocked George down to regain his title and usher in the Golden Age of boxing!!!
True but the way who ever was putting it it was like he was the challenger and Ali was the Champ...I know once you put the title on the line it's up for grabs but what I was sayin' that it was that same old trickery....
@@bungholeshagnasty1724 That's because Ali was the favorite but when he got dropped the odd makers couldn't believe it even though they had a lot of time left but Frazier came in as Champ and left as Champ....
George became a completely different person since his first retirement. All his anger and hate left him. I don't think I've ever seen anyone more humble and at peace with himself than Foreman.
He was also a pretty likeable focussed kid after he won the Olympics. Something just went wrong between the late 60's and the early 70's; like he was trying to camouflage his fears by acting like a tough guy or something.
These three men have so much respect and love for each other. I think because they fought each other they got to know each other that much better. Warriors like these demonstrate true greatness, not by staying mad at each other but by accepting the outcome of their bouts with grace! 😢
I was a kid in Northern England and my Father said "Come and watch this, it's how real fights happen" and I watched the Rumble in the Jungle. It's still the greatest bout I've ever seen.
Three legends on a one couch..... Rare thing to happen. Once they used to beat hard on eachothers. But hanging around as true friends later life is such an amazing thing. That's what call true sportsmanship
The smile on Ali's face after Foreman mentioned what Ali had said to him during their fight (5:32) is one of the best things I've seen in a long while.
Let's be honest guys - this interview was very awkward, no good chemistry and just bad overall. The host was shocking, Ali looked totally out of it, Frazier was really boring. Only George Foreman saved it from being a complete car crash.
RaniaIsAwesome Muhammad Ali had Parkinson’s Disease and was in the early of the disease that’s why looks out of it. He was losing coordination, ability to speak etc. he was diagnosed in 1984.
Your right! George Foremen when he was still fighting was quiet and mean. Now he’s friendly and soft like a big ol’ Teddy Bear. Ali was always talking so much that he earned the nickname the Mouth from the South! He used to talk loudly nonstop. Then he gets Parkinson’s and talked in a whisper. How ironic is that? Time definitely turns things around!
@@Jaecht88Yes he did. As George said: his last opponent "whooped the Devil" outta him. George was a mean, nasty, surly, grumpy man before God got ahold of him. The second version of George was one of (and still is) the nicest, funniest, most charismatic guys on the planet.
Actually, It's a poem. She asked if Ali still did poem about things. And he did about her show. I love your show I admire your style But you pay us so cheap Don't call for a while :)
+Ryan Chinn Foreman said he wanted to be like Sonny Liston(his sparring partner) when younger. Mean and surly. When he did his come back he couldn't market himself like that anymore so he went with the affable god fearing preacher persona, and it made him more money.
+aedivian yes humble..did you hear him when he sayed: i never belive im the gratest but i used to say it befeore and after fights also lets face it ..if he was not humble fraizer and foerman wouldnt say all that nice talk about him
So glad that Ali and Fraizer made up before they died. The graciousness of Ali to say The Greatest was al publicity and he didn't believe it as respect his colleagues was great!!!
rklewis2 not like Mayweather disrespectful. Tyson had so much respect for the old fighters. Boxing died with Tyson. After yesterday's fight I can't watch another fight
Recognizing & admitting your loss with a smile is truly telling. Then for Ali to not know he’s the greatest still is also telling. Great interview with 3 of the best fighters in the world. How blessed this lady truly was that day.
ALI was the Greatest of all time, Frazier the deadliest left hook in the world, George Foreman the strongest and nicest human boxer ever Absolute Legends what a TRIO ( I shed a tear watching this) 😥
@BlaZe Excalibur ...don't be so mad, man. Mike was a beast in his prime - and he only had love and respect for Ali, George & Joe, just like they did towards him. People tend to talk smack, to gather together in groups and attacking each other - just like fighters do during promo. Nonetheless, we're all just people. None of us is better than the other. We're just different. Sometimes we win, sometimes we lose. I refuse to talk about great fighters who inspired soo many people like some would be more worthy than others. We're talking about the GOATs here. Let others have their opinions. No need to be judgemental.
Ali stating that he really wasn’t the greatest but it was about publicity this was amazing to me…. I never heard him say that before. What a true champion!
People from the early 60s-80s were so respectful with each other even though they have might have had a bad past with each other they still found a common ground to agree with each other .
Frazier: .... and he put his film together Ali: and he didn’t pay us. (Everybody laughs) Imagine he talked the whole time.. 😔 May his soul rest in peace.. Ameen
@official Mohammed Fathallah Al-Gaddafi jannah is trash dump, I will not going to Jannah, only bombers and terrorists, and also angry people in Jannah, I prefer heaven. 😂
George was such a gentleman. He was the guy to have on this show. He didn't blow his own horn. He told how great Joe and Mohammed was. He was great. What a guy. George your a good guy.
Considering Foreman beat Frazier twice comprehensively, and Ali had to use all his stamina and intelligence to beat Foreman in the only fight the two had, who knows what might have happened in a second fight. Foreman could as well have knocked out Ali....
I was a young man about their ages when i watched these all time greats fight each other. It was a period of my life i will never forget, and they all added to my life and billions of other's. It was a glorious and exciting time. I loved this interview and seeing the love and respect they have for one another is a satisfying end to their stories. They couldn't have done it without each other.
It is so depressing seeing such a masterpiece of a human being reduced to such rubble....... Ali was a legend inside and outside of the ring, and lived a history worthy life.
