I do it for game 7s and potential cup winning games. I used to do it exclusively, but the main issue I kept running into was how inconsistent the 2 sims were between text and calendar. My Minnesota series back in 18 or 19 I think is about the time I switched. We had a stacked team and kept being eliminated in Rd1 or 2. One time we got bounced I went back and calendar simmed the whole playoffs and we steamrolled our way to a cup win. I agree with you from a narrative standpoint, but for consistency calendar sim is just much better.

@@CynFtWProductions I gotcha , I definetely agree with that , real time sim and calander sim are way different , seems that specific goalies get slaughtered in real time sim even if they are vezina like guys and dominate in calander sim, that’s atleast my experience , still love the franchise I was just curious bc im relatively newer to your channel
