Tip, don't use a convergence on this plane, the CNN convergence goes to the left and up to meet the machine guns convergence, so it screws your aim a lot

I find using Vertical convergence around 800 meters helps put cannon rods on the same point as MGs on head on merges tho….

I think the big explosions you get every now and then with this plane make it worth the rng of the big cannon.

I read somewhere that Russian pilots flying this variant treated the machine gun as a ranging tool for the 37 mm cannon. They would use tracer belts so they could easily tell where their rounds went; if they scored hits, they knew their aim was true and immediately fired a short (2-3 rounds) burst with the cannon. I haven't tried this in game myself (it's been a year or two since I played), but it might make things easier.

a bit late, but just played the 9T for the first time in a while and got a few good hits with the 37mm, and yeah i had tracers on the MG which helped

Mastering 37 mm is so satisfying! 9T is so good in ground battles it has barely some competition ... able to defend it self, able to crack everything below and using it's best performance at low altitude... Maybe one day you join the tank crowds mate 😃

Jengar here! u did good i like that plane but i have grown to like german planes more since i played them for a long time now. i used to only play russia and i miss those cannons but i forgot how to play them xd

if you ever deside to get good whit big guns i advise you to have a secound button for the mg so you dont have to snipe all the time whenyou know you wont hit with the canon and use the mg just to hit them instead i has worked for me veary well in the soviet tree and you also save some ammo with it

They reduced the dispersion of the NS-45 a lot a week ago! Maybe you could try again the 9K? They halved the dispersion, which is a lot!

Trigger discipline, my dude! Shooting more doesn't mean you hit more! ;) But like you already said, it's not your type of weapon to use on a plane.

@@jengar6258 both air and ground rb is great . The itp lacks that special manoeuvrability that you can find on the yak9 t . Also after you unlock that "new" 37 you can 1 tap people to death .

Hi Jenga, love the videos I always learn something but you know how it is in the heat of a battle much of the discipline goes out of the window and tunnel vision sets in. I watched one of your videos where you stressed the importance for use of the camera and flying by the keyboard, I was wondering though, should the sensitivity of the ailerons, elevators and rudder be set for each plane or is there a sweet spot that works for all? I've been playing for nearly 3 years and still fly mouse aim as I seem to get more kills but as you said my performance will take a dip because the keyboard element will confuse until proficient use is attained. Thanks for taking the time to share your tips :)

I've tried enjoying this plane, but I always have issues with it. I can't seem to have good games in it and it just seems like the thing is a huge bad luck charm.

the big gun RNG is an issue for sure. It's not for everyone. It doesnt have my preference either, i prefer 20mm or smaller calibers.

This plane is alot better in ground battles. If you run ap ammo in the 37 you can pen alot of tanks from top down
