Big January 2024 Book Unboxing || Fairyloot YA/Adult, Owlcrate YA/Adult, and Evernight Horror Box 

the reusable dishwasher thing looks like a VETEX to me, which is very common in my country (Austria, I assume Germany and neighbour states as well). Most people use them for cleaning the table and worktop in the kitchen.

I really like the pink and green hard cover, but it’s a very specific color combination that I definitely think isn’t that popular. I’m surprised they went with that. Still, I enjoy seeing all the various book boxes together like this. 😊 And I appreciate you still showing the author name since the boycott isn’t about them.

So jealous of that Evernight book. It’s STUNNING 😍. I’ve been on the wait list for that box subscription for a bit. That would be amazing to have. I got the YA Fairyloot and OwlCrate books and I think I prefer Fairyloot’s hardcover more. I love the pink on both though.

I didn’t like the Owl Crate adult box but enjoyed the other books. Now I have to look up the publisher to see what you’re talking about.😅

My YA fairyloot got lost in the mail and I’m beyond upset. Hoping I’m not screwed because I’ll be heartbroken to miss out on this book/box. I actually hate the dust jacket cover they did. I don’t like the character art much and I don’t usually like any character art like that on covers anyway. If I’m able to actually get my box 🤞🏼🙏🏼 , this will be the first one I probably flip the dust jacket. I think the inside is WAY more attractive.

Great to see you back in another unboxing video. Luckily I got the Evernight box for the first time and I was so glad as the book is one of my most anticipated reads of the year. It was a phenomenal edition. I have heard about this whole St Martins Press fiasco but haven’t looked into it too much tbh

I think I prefer the owl crate version. Just because the end papers appeal to me more. But I am still happy with the very late edition. And I did flip the Dutch jacket so I like the cover. For their adult book, I don't know why they split the key between the top and the bottom of the page edges. I really love skeleton keys though so for me I wanted that feature to be better.

One thing I don't get what book boxes are doing is adding items from adult fandoms in YA book boxes. It doesn't really make much sense to me.

Charlie Bowater did the art on the fairyloot book and they did Sorcery of Thorns, as well. And while her art is GORGEOUS, the characters all kind of look very similar.

What is the problem with SMP?

I appreciate your boycotting of St. Martins (and truly it’s a boycot of the marketing not the books / authors) so no performing free labour! (Also it’s not just political, it also has to do with that marketing person publicly shares racist things on their private and if you’re racist in personal you prob are in your professional life too!) Also I’m so sad! I skipped evernight because I need to save monies and this edition is stunning!!!!!!! I love all things creepy.

I'm not a fan of boycotts. We have freedom of speech. Why should the author be harmed just because a company employee spouted out their opinion. I say if you don't like someone's opinion, scroll on past and don't try to ruin a whole company.

I just want to commend you for not platforming SMP and their imprints.
