Isn’t your grandad a great guy you had the young and the old there doing that fencing I agree putting a staple in to fasten the pigtail is a very good idea it would stop ir turning You all make a very good team Alex cracks me up with her cheeky smile such a lovely girl your cows look very well Evie brilliant video again
Hi Evie I use Gallagher gear in Australia a lot . Great gear ! When using this type of pig tail I finish it by using a fence staple over the crank arm to stop the pigtails from rotating
Hi we fitted something similar on our fencing but put a staple in once finished hammering pigtails in makes a solid job of it also stops the pigtails going sideways on the post

If you unroll the wire off the reel instead of letting it pull off, you will not have twisted wire. Put a rod through the spool and hold the rod with your hands and let the wire unroll without twists.
Very nice video. When my wife and I were married in 2011 we used electric fence stakes with the same kind of top on them for holding streamers as part of the decorations. It actually looked very nice. Those insulaters remind me of that. You never know what you can do if you're resourceful enough. Thanks for reminding me of that
Grandad has a good technique using the stick for measuring the height of the drill hole. You should have put a round bar through the roll of tape to wind it out and it wouldn't be twisted. I know it doesn't make much difference but it helps my ocd a lot. 😅
good electric fence # but bear in mind cattle don't understand that this metal fence has electric current & get electric shock when contact with it # ❤️🇵🇰
If you take a bit of wire and put it through the spool, you can have a handle to roll the tape twine, or wire out easily. Just stick it through, then twist the ends together flat where you will hold it.
Hi Evie. As always great video. Sorry if I ask you a question, why did you put up the electric fence if there is already the net and the barbed wire? Can horses jump those too?
