For a test spot I usually dip a q-tip straight into the SH and let it sit. That way if it does mess up the paint then it only messes up a tiny spot.

Hey Sean, great vid again, glad your enjoying your machine. Yep always do the high stuff first so you don’t have to repeat your cleaning on the deck. Only tip I would have for your deck cleaning because I mainly do decks back in the UK is do each length in 1 so you don’t get those wand marks left on the decking which don’t tend to come out when dried and show up more so when you add the clear staining. It might be just the video showing the wand marks as I did notice you kept your lance at a good distance from the wood, but I rarely go over 100-110 bar on wood as you will break down the wooden fibres. P S get yourself a 1 litre spray bottle with your batch mix in to do your test patch, do it that way to keep it more controlled and saves dragging all your equipment to that area… keep up the good work pal 👍👌

Excellent video. You have definitely made me a subscriber. I also watch the fresh rinse. He is the man. I have a question though. After using the house, wash mix on the deck, then using pressure to clean it.Did you notice if the deck had a white chalky look to it afterward After using the house, wash mix on the deck, then using pressure to clean it. Did you notice if the deck had a white chalky look to it afterward? It seems like I have run into that problem on the last couple of decks that I have done.

I love Mike! Yes, i have found that white chalky look as well. That is from the bleach. The bleach will fade the wood unfortunatly, but in return it cleans it extremely well. it is a give and take. the method to combat that is to use Oxalic acid after you bleach, it restores that natural wood color. I am actually going to start implementing that into my method. hope that helps

You're a lot braver than I am on spot testing. I have a spray bottle I use on a very small area in case anything goes wrong so I don't have to repaint a large area. You should be looking to see if it splotches up, or changes colors. It will do it almost right away when you hit it, but I do let my test areas sit for a few minutes just to make sure. I think it is mostly the Sherwin Williams tree hugger paints that do this.

Good to know!, Yeah, to be completely honest that was my first time doing a test spot lol I have ruined a few front doors that were painted so now I pay attention. What I’m gonna start doing is spraying the house mix that I’m going to use on the ground and then dipping my finger in it and touching that to the paint, like a smaller area lol

Best investment I’ve made so far is 8gpm. Second best is a flowpro.

Use your X-jet attachment to turn the ball off in your DS injector so you don't have to walk back to your truck

Look into the J-Rod so you don't have to run back and forth to the rig so much. Another great channel to learn from is SuperBlast Pressure washing. He uses the J-Rod on all his house washes.

@@WeberPowerWashing i've seen people running the m5 twist for downstreaming and then the xjet tip for rinsing! haven't tried it myself but just throwing ideas!

At the end of the video you said you’ll learn the 8gpm, what caused those stripes??? Was it because you moved to slow and it edged the concrete. Keep it up!!

It was because I ran over the same areas twice, but I was just overthinking it! At the end of the video you can see after I post treated everything and it dried. It looks perfect.🙏🏼

Keep the videos coming love to see the grow of the business in the videos. Question pre treat and post treatment on the concrete you just down stream? You don't put a higher percentage?
@WeberPowerWashing
@WeberPowerWashing 25 дней назад
Yes, I just downstream a housewife mix around one percent, I see a lot of guys using 3-4% and honestly, I will have to respectfully disagree. I have never had any issues just using one percent, the key for me is dwelltime! As soon as I get to a house wash where I’m going to do the driveway, I’ll lay down a house wash mix on the driveway and it will sit there for about an hour before I even touch the driveway, that really loosens everything up, and then obviously when I post it stays on there indefinitely until the rain gets It, that works for me sorry for the long message

I was that guy putting down 4% pre and 2% post but I have a house and driveway wash this Thursday and I will try this method. Thanks for the explanation. Well detailed

Got a question maybe you guys can help me with this. Are you having to adjust your pressure regulator for every job. Example being adjusting down for a housewash then having to adjust again on the same job to clean the driveway. This is what I'm doing but don't know if there's a easier way. Thanks
