7:39 some updated info and clarification on Chasca’s increased duration in her Nightsoul state: seems to be confirmed that this is only for exploration. Nightsoul consumption is decreased for vertical movement. Phlogiston consumption is decreased for both horizontal and vertical movement. Combat duration is unchanged, so 5CA isn’t happening with current info.
Ororon’s tribe ability is for exploration. It’s the same way Nanatzcayan characters can interact with glowing things on the ground to unearth chests and stuff. It looks like it’s gonna be a weaker version of what Citlali can eventually do
Chasca doesn’t need to be “up there with the top dps characters.” This idea that everything new has to be at the very top of the meta damage-wise is not good for the game. That’s what leads to powercreep. It’s fine if Chasca doesn’t hit the same rotation numbers as Mualani or Arlecchino. She doesn’t need to beat everyone else in the game to be strong and useful for an account. What matters is solid-enough performance and a fun playstyle.
You're saying this because you probably like Mualani or Arlecchino more. I could say the same about them. I wouldn't mind if Mualani would be weak cause I don't have her and don't like her. But I like Chasca and I would obviously prefer if she is as strong as possible, not powercreeping existing DPS, but at least as strong as the other Natlan heroes. Why single her out and make her weaker than Mualani or Kinich?
@@Gennosuke1983 she's still very powerful, and if you like chasca so much you'll probably end up getting her signature and her cons which make her even more amazing. She isn't being "singled out" she's just not breaking the game. Which is a GOOD thing, I love chasca and im literally spending my guaranteed on her instead of Mavuika, to me she seems fine in the state she's in.
@Lolamy haha yeah, big buffs relative to his original kit. I think he was decent before and now he's a little stronger! It's rare to see a 4 star get c0 buffs across the board so ill take anything haha
Getting the talents' multipliers nerfed and compensating with a self dmg% buff is never a good thing if the end result is slightly similar in a vacuum: it only means that external buffs become less relevant. An extreme case would be Jingliu (or Xueyi if built as an hypercarry) in HSR, who has sh!t base stats and multipliers but a truckload of self buffs. All it means is that she's practically indifferent to the best supports in the game, with a ceiling that hasn't improved since her launch over a year ago, unlike most other characters
I hardly even wanted Chasca in the first place, but that constellation bait makes me want her even less. Only hoping to snipe Ororon. Between her and Lyney who I also don't want, I was more willing to have her on the account so would be pulling for Ororon on her banner.
yeah me too, i will also just try to grab one copy of ororon as myself my main goal right now is pyro archon. Getting too excited for a dps is not a good thing, its always wise to wait few weeks of live game to see how dps is. But yeah the bait for cons for chaska is too much and so far I don't like the idea of randow team
They won't. He's made to be a support for her. Still don't want her. I would rather accidentally pull a con for Lyney rather than Chasca while head hunting for Ororon.
Dmg multipliers will always be the most important part of character kits. It's always the first one to be analyzed when a dps comes out. Just look at jingliu in hsr for example. Though she has massive atk and crit rate buffs herself, because her multipliers are low, she became irrelevant as soon as the HP for enemies were bloated.
Just checking in for ororon. It seems that he's usable on my Neuvillette team if i want some team changes in overworld. The ER thing is good. Shame about the cons nerf but oh well, he is 4* after all.
the main problem with chascas teams i noticed is when it comes to the hydro units the only good option is furina. The rest are either meh(barbara and seigwein) or dont work with her(yelan candace etc)
@@Ishaan47 i think the issue is more that since you want three different PHEC elements in her teams, if you don't have furina, you don't have a good hydro, so you need to run pyro+electro+cryo, which doesn't work as well as pyro+electro+cryo. of couse, you don't NEED the full rainbow team, but not being able to play it well without furina is sad
@@ChristianThatLovesGod she's just slightly better than barbara in that her skill can apply hydro, maybe helping with reactions more than barbara's ring. she's not horrible, but she offers no real buffs or dmg, so it's kinda meh
Chasca might not be good for imaginarium. Not being able to pick your teammates means Chasca has the potential to be useless. I do not know why an Anemo DPS is not being allowed to deal Anemo damage
This is probably the best idea they got for a anemo DPS because it fits perfectly with the element, and yeah she would not work because at most you will have a repeated element
It’s called innovation. Why would I want ANOTHER anemo damage dealer if they are 2 others in the game. I prefer 100% something more unique. It’s not about the meta, it’s about the fun.

I wish they'd stop baiting you for more constellations just so the character can function properly especially when it's clear that they don't show old characters a whole lot of love what with several now feeling very dated and lack luster compared to all the new characters mechanics and features..
Venti normal attacks, hit an enemy 6 times. Venti skill, shoot enemies up, hold to fly. Venti ult, big suck. Modern characters, heres a whole 3 paragraphs discussing what happens to their normal attacks based on the 2 different mark procs you can get on enemies

i think she will be good with Sara, looks ez to use Sara with her and its a good and simple damage buff.she dont need as much off fild element to be apply she can do it her self, she just need some buff and shild perhaps, so maybe Diona or Layla can be good as well, or even Xinyan can work with her. and ofc Bennet is great for att buff as always, even Mona or Kokomi can be used it seems.
Why isn't C0 Shenhe or C6 Sara considered a best-in-slot for Chasca? If ATK goblet is better than Anemo goblet for her because she'd doing a whole bunch of PECH dmg instead of Anemo dmg, then the reverse is true that she would benefit more from PECH specific supports that normally wouldn't work for an Anemo carry. Shenhe's A4 grants a flat 15% increase no matter if her shells are considered skill damage or CA dmg. C6 Sara grants a huge ATK buff to all her shells, plus her electro shell(s) get a Crit DMG buff. Especially Shenhe, considering you'll get Swirl, Melt, Freeze, Vape in a comp with Chasca, Furina and Bennett, out of which Melt and Vape can be further buffed by Fanfare.
i think the best and simplest answer would be furina and bennet exist? furina does good damage and buffs herself AND everybody in the team while benet is benet, and vapo hits hard.
If Chasca worked better in "mono" comps like mono electro with let's say Beidou, Fischl, and Sara then it would have potential, but only getting PECH specific buffs for one of her shells or so is just not worth it when more universal buffs like Furina's damage percent and Benny's massive attack buff exist that boost the damage of all her shells.
@@71775926 That is fair and it's not like the buffs are going to be wasted, but since their universal buffs aren't nearly as large as other options it won't be ideal. Taking the overvape team with Chasca, Furina, Benny and then either Sara or Ororon, Sara is giving more attack and a lot of damage on Chasca's electro bullet. Meanwhile Ororon is providing consistent off-field electro damage, cc with his taunt, the damage percent buff from scroll (which yes is less useful now due to the Chasca changes, but still is helpful and having Benny on the team means that Sara's atk buff is less useful as well) and keep in mind Ororon's damage will be buffed by Furina. Something else to keep in mind is Ororon applying more electro means that the electrocharged aura will be present on enemies more easily making it easier to get vapes with Chasca's pyro bullets which will increase her damage as well. I'm not saying Sara (or Shenhe) can't be good options for her teams, but I don't think they will be best in slot for most of her teams. Edit: I am excited though because Chasca seems like she can have a lot of fun teambuilding options and best in slot doesn't always mean most interesting or fun to play.
That Chasca change... not liking it. Yes, it is good that she gains DMG, but the problem is that this essentially forces her into tri-PECH teams. And this combined with her other factors just kills her team variety. And for Theater, well, gee, won't she just be great when there's only one of the PECHs on the roster with her. Yes, she wasn't good for this before, but now she's worse. Overall, she feels like another Chiori and Siggy... these designs feel like some rookie was told to do something cool, without oversight from a more experienced person that actually understands how the game works in practice, creating an overly niche character with low appeal. Though at least Chiori gets good with cons, but, well, F2Ps should be able to fully enjoy her as well. So bigger skip than before.
Imaginarium theater is a joke you shouldn't even use it to determine a character's worth. Besides at least she has a solid and unique identity instead of just "Albedo but better" or miss "idfk what im doing here other than healing"

Huh? Why do you need all characters then I only have important ones and only spend 80 every 2 months maybe even 3 depending what characters we get, but just by doing events I get lots of primo,I always get the character and their weapon
Chasca is still unappealing as a DPS and will stay that way for me. Her best teams use both Furina and Bennett. That’s two top-tier support units. I would rather use Bennett in the National or Arlecchino team and Furina in the Hu Tao plunge or Neuvi hyper-carry teams. If she used Just Bennett or Furina for her best team, I could see the appeal. Maybe she will once Mavuika is here. But for now, the only thing appealing about her to me is her exploration prowess. Will pull her on her rerun just for that.
She's a filler unit like Chiori. They'll make her unappealing so that dolphins will save for Mavuika and Whales don't see any difference anyway, since they C2-C6 everything.
I'm betting 100% mavuika release will buff kinich, mualani and chasca directly. What I'm concerned abt rn is that we don't really know just how good her self interruption resistance is. If her interruption resistance is bad, you might wanna play her with a shielder like diona or layla. In that case, chasca premium team will most likely be: Chasca, mavuika, citlali (leaks say citlali is a shield + buffer) and then last spot can be furina/fischl/yae There's also leaks of another hydro character coming so who knows... But then the problem of furina heal stacks comes, but citlali prototype amber/minor healing capabilities??? BC citlalis kit doesn't make alot of sense as a shielder when we have zhongli and cryo is a weak element rn... Chasca is a character that needs to cook a lil more I think

Genshin hate women unless they are important characters. Chasca won't do well in her sales already, but they furthermore make this character more unappealing to pull if you're not going to C2. This happened to Clorinde during the last week of beta and now it's happening to Chasca all over again. They're putting unnecessary changes to mid female characters to be even more mid yet again. This is why I stopped topping up in Genshin and move my funds to support ZZZ devs instead who actually listen to the players and care about QOL improvements in their game. Genshin devs can go to hell.
