Some drone footage of a Komatsu D475A I shot a couple of years ago with sound synced to it. The 475 is actually a little larger than a Cat D11 so can technically be called the World's largest production dozer. #d475a #d575a #bulldozer
Back in the early 90s the city (NYC) bought one of these to test at Fresh Kills Landfill. It was super powerful, super comfy, great machine. EXCEPT, it couldn't survive the Landfill environment (overheating problems). They even took the blade off and used it to pull athey wagons. It pulled those wagons uphill in garbage like stink. But required to much maintenance and cleaning. They also tried Terex, International Hough, Fiat Allis and others. Only Cat survived. The rest were sold pennies on the dollar. The City bought more than a 100 D8Ls for pulling Athey wagons, pulling scrapers and dozing. We had more than 260 Operating Engineers, 3 shifts, 24-7. Dump is now closed.
When I started in 85 they were digging the barges with American and Manitowoc cranes with 100 foot booms and 10 yard clamshell buckets. Loading the Athey wagons directly. Later, we got the O&Ks that loaded into a pit area. Where a 992 with a 30yard Brock bucket. Loaded the garbage onto Payhauler's. The Payhauler's dumped on the garbage bank. Where 4 Cat compactors per "pit", pushed out and graded the garbage to specific heights. With trucks we had to constantly make access roads with material from our own rock Crusher. That's not counting the "truck fill" where private garbage trucks dumped, hundreds a shift. Crazy busy.
@@CDFJCB The force has been good. Comfortably retired after 38 years. Just 2 Tractor Operators (from 260) at Fresh Kills now. (for emergencies) When I retired they turned the dump over to Tully Construction for final capping. (a 5 year process). Mission accomplished. 👏
We have a D375 where I am employed, It's a Beast. Mostly used for deep ripping of orchards in Northern Cal. But it is way more cool to see it push Massive amounts of dirt in person!
Sometimes just the heat from dozing over rocky ground can cause that. It's more noticeable when it is cold.....But it also starts fires in dry areas, grading gravel roads in a really dry area can cause a fire, friction equals heat and sparks
Komatsularin tiple çalışması hiç hoş değil . Ama orada fazla büyük makinaya gerek yok bir d 9 t yada r çat olsa çok daha super bir sokumu ve çalışması olur dizerse çat başka bilmem 1 numara cat
@@thumpnvette7207 awesome brother just got laid off my job but I got my Cdl so I started trucking driving for a construction company and I’m making great pay now but I still wanna Learn to run dozers I did mostly light equipment but they had me on a cat 325 loading dump trucks
Being a mechanical engineer and my technical assistance, I believe dozer means a bit sleepy or slow in motion. On the contrary bull means a powerful and giant in structure. Bulldozer stands for a powerful and slow motion track type tractor which can flatten the soil by cutting edge, powerful blade and engine in slow motion or Caterpillar.... 😎
@@zeeshan_engineering_services thank you for your answer, but I ask the distinction between the two. What does the Bull in front of the word Bulldozer mean?
Hey guys, if you want to know which one is bigger in each configuration CAT and Komatsu both post all the specifications on their web sites... LEARN HOW TO USE THE INTERNET...
