BIG LEAF® Cycling Canopy Installation, GreenSpeed X-7 2019-09-14 recumbent trike 

I surely am out of practice, not to mention the fact that for several reasons my creative juices seemingly ...., evaporated. MaxPaul inspired to 'do it' (get on with life) so what you are witnessing here are two people moving forward the best they can with what they have. Thanks, Jim. I just got off the phone with MaxPaul (that's him in the vid); he is out riding in the cool evening breeze. Does about 50-miler per day. I am accumulating items to add to his trike and listing those tweaks that we'll work on during our next visit. He has assured me that he is trying to wear it out as instructed! Thanks for hanging in there with me as I regroup from some life-altering issues that have influenced my 'drive'.

"Tough" might even be an improvement over the actual course of events! I always come back stronger but that doesn't make it fun to get those drop-kicks to the groin. Look at it this way, despite loosing some very desirable people in my life the emerging garden of friends will be socially healthy and respectful to life.

Thanks, Clay. We're still tweaking on it. Had other business in NC but met up with MaxPaul and installed longer flag bars, tether cord on the thumb screws and took some measurements for camera mounting. He rides this trike 40-50 miles each day in preparation for his cross-country ride next March. He had this trike as you see it on a down-hill a few weeks ago at speeds in the 40 MPH range with a couple of speed-spikes in the low 50's (53.4). The canopy performed perfectly (but the flag tips are frayed)!

I'm also working on another cross-country touring canopy package for a Seattle, WA rider. These 'challenges' really help to advance product development but unfortunately 'luck' doesn't help as much as does equipment 'failure'. So, trial test riding beforehand is essential (to assure product reliability). Thanks for tuning in.

I've heard from several Kett owners but have yet to supply a BL canopy. The uniqueness of the attachment points is the biggest hurdle and would likely necessitate a working model in my shop for a few days (to assure an engineered fit and performance reliability). I live in a nice vacation spot?

@@billfearheller4179 I'm pretty much a product of my environment so what you 'see' (or don't see) is a reflection (of my environment). Years ago I developed a knack for getting back up when decked. Now, I'm finding more comfort while 'down' rather that squander precious time on a rebound. In other words, I'm finding enjoyment on detours but also think of it as a recharge. Let's ride!

Now, more than half dozen BIG LEAF® Cycling Canopy owners are in that area with interest growing. (The high elevation intensity from the Sun must be brutal nowadays.) Welcome to trikeland! The videos end credits have canopy contact information. Streamer noise? No more so that what was created by the flags; NONE! The sound-deadening vinyl end cap will allow a split-ring to hold the streamer which will be rather smallish but highly reflective to dangle for greater approaching motorist visual recognition.

Refer to the canopy contact info in the videos ending credits and send me an email. A year ago Ian Sims (GreenSpeed) and I were discussing having the BL canopy there at his facility. However, since then outside influences and his passing have put BL growth on the back burner. I have interest (and a single sale already) in Australia so I feel confident something can develop.
