You belive, that riding a bicycle should be safe in every weather condition. I'm afraid it is not during windy conditions with that kind of sail, but keep on trying, I wish you much luck ;)
Oh boy!.. Am 100% certain this product will have lots of drag especially with strong gusts of wind from the side, and I've been a bike/e-bike rider half of my life..
It's a pity that you didn't show more of the bike especially in the rain. From what I can see, the upright joints on the panels would severely restrict viability, and may be divert the rain onto your thighs.
I just use a regular umbrella in one hand and steer the bike with my other so simple. I use a golf umbrella which gives great coverage not just for rain but also for sun, and then I wear a back pack Tommy Bahama chair so if I want to rest from bike riding I just set my chair down next to the bike and lay my umbrella canopy on top of the seat and handle bars and rig it in place with a bungee cord . I have all my food and electronics in my Topeak MTX cargo panier bags. The perfect bike touring set up that doesn't weigh you down.
its so unfortunate this product isn;t around anymore...i was really looking forward to buying a couple of them. not only is this bike umbrella good for unpleasant weather but also it will help the bike go much faster since aerodynamics is increased.
@@svelobikes9049 I wonder how that happened when they were spending so much on making videos and not wasting it on things like riding around in the rain with their product.
You don't like water? In fairness to the inventor, you'll need boots that are waterproof if you want your feet to stay dry once off the bike in the rain. The problem with this design is once you slow down or stop, like in urban traffic, you get poured on. What they should do is make it more of a fairing so it reduces wind drag a lot as well s channeling rain away from you.
This thing is so ugly it actually looks like it was made by Jeremy during some sort of a Top Gear challenge… even the music sounds sarcastic with such a video… Rain = bad weather Bad weather = strong winds You can see where I’m going…
