Ex-GameStop manager here. It is genuinely appalling the amount of stuff week by week the company would spring on us; it didn't surprise me how little the employee knew about the new trade in system. I'm also surprised his boss answered to help him out while off the clock lmao.
not only does my mans get shafted buying cards the second the store opens but its leonhart making a video of him too. this poor dude just pulled the short straw on life today
bruh i couldnt wake up like that to open up the store just to see leonhart standing waiting to offload his old waifu slabs first thing in the morning that roller door would be going back down
I gotta give props to the employee, he definitely adapted to this new system..and his SL was really patient with him too. I think what bothers me a bit [and I agree] was Lee's angle on how he was pretending like he didn't know and kept trying to interject with his knowledge [or just repeats what the SL is trying to tell to her ASL/SGA]. As a former GS employee nothing bugs me more than a customer who pretends to be naÏve, only for them to start acting like they know how to do the process. Just let the employee's figure it out, as for his content..his viewers can hear what the SL was saying. So him being parrot kinda bugged me a bit.
“I wish you would have done the training” gave me retail PTSD. I would have quit on the spot. Also I can’t get over Lee completely ignoring the dude with his response. Instead of answering his question. He’s such a narcissist
Lol!! It is not too bad. Props to the GameStop worker "come on in you son of a bitch" Next time someone should record a GameStop worker who only plays first person shooters 😂
Thanks for watching this so I didnt have to. Used to watch a good bit of PokeTubers until started watching you. Now, its just you and CTR. Great content, as always. 👍 👌
Can vouch. They treat their employees like drones. "Here's all this information in a 10-minute computer course. Answer the 4 multiple question answers right, and immediately have universal knowledge of all things related."
Dude it was exactly like that. 👍🏽expecting a CBT to teach people how to accurately evaluate slabs day one is insane and the employee still did a great job
Homie is looking for engagement. Thinks the few things I criticized Lee for was “reaching” even though I showed exactly when and how he did it 🤷🏽♂️ let them be
@@OpossumBud some people just love to make things what they want them to be...as if this is just a video of leonfart walking through the mall and you're just trashing him for walking through a mall..lol good times
I have never worked in a Game Stop, but I have worked in retail long enough to know that he does not need to be putting up with this at 10am on a weekday.
I know that Leonhart gets some well deserved crap. But from meeting him at the first Card Party I think the dude is severely socially awkward and wouldn’t be surprised if there is more to it. Overall seems like a good enough dude… outside of his Mystery Boxes.
Man, I wish they’d at least given these dudes at least a week to learn the stuff, people like us, yea we could easily pick up all this stuff in a flash, but someone (most likely) who doesn’t understand cards in general, yet alone graded card scam awareness AND a new system
How long was he off for? I worked at gamestop recently and they tell us quite a bit ahead of time before they start something new. He probably just wasn't trained on it yet but he had to know it was coming and when
@@OpossumBud I’ve thought about it a few times. Went dumpster diving in a game stop dumpster a while back and found around 100 games. Junk like old madden games, but it was still cool to find.
Thought it was a pretty good display of the new process. The guy was literally getting instructions over the phone so Lee was just repeating what she said. I honestly think the Gamestop employee and the lady on the phone were just trying to get the best outcome and Lee was trying to show the process as best as he could.
I agree, my one and really only criticism was the angle he played of being naive and unfamiliar with the process to being knowledgeable about the process and standards the second homie was on the phone with the SL. If you’re making a video about their process, let them do their process. But I didn’t mind the video as a whole
I will admit it’s one of Leonhart’s better videos as of recently but I still wouldn’t sell my graded cards to GameStop especially the expensive ones knowing full well I’d only get 50% of the value at best. Good job I only collect Snorlax cards and actually want to keep them for my Snorlax card collection 😂
oh dude same! I hated how the lights aren't even on and the gates was down, but I there would be people lingering around and wanting to go inside. Its like..BRUH read our signs!
Would love a job where I could wear a transformers t-shirt to work and I’d also hate said job if I had to deal with PSA card trade ins from the likes of waifuhart and the gang.
GameStop is also not giving any employee raises for doing more work. I can see the employees in the future not giving a shit if they are not getting paid more to do more work.
I love how the worker is talking like I really don't want to do this but gonna have to do it now. If I worked at GameStop and a person comes in hot. They will leave even hotter when I tell them to leave the store. Lees is like that he hurries people up. Not good. Great reaction video someone not going to Doctor your video should take notes. Glad you credit so CC don't make an issue about it either.
The fact that the reverse Squirtle got sold in a PSA9 for $18 kills me I want that thing and god that’s such an insane steal 🤣 can’t stop won’t stop game stop
Idk what you've heard but leonheart definitely wasn't paid by GameStop to make that video 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Also, I could have sworn leonheart made a video a few months ago about stepping away from pokemon? Am I crazy or did that happen?
Gotta say, it’s this stuff that makes me happy I will never work for this company again. I have so many horror stories back when it was just about video games and a small amount of collectibles. I can’t imagine the shit those poor employees are being put through. Also, that leader sounds so much like the District Manager who ended up blackballing my from the company when I quit because I was fed up with all the BS. Considering it’s Texas, it probably was lol
This is so crazy. I was talking to a few GameStop employees and bc of some California trade law California gamestops might not participate in the program GameStop is doing for graded cards.
