Join us as we get the New Holland skid loader painted and pour the compass medallion at the yard. I made a pretty big mistake when I mixed the paint but thankfully I was still able to make the CEO happy. Enjoy
Ryan the process of getting a train ready to go is called building the train. It involves a lot of moving cars around to get the right ones hooked up. My great grandfather and grandfather were railroad men. My great grandfather died in a head on collision near Rock Springs, Wyoming. He was an engineer driving the train. Two trains were on the same track somehow. That was back in the late 1800s. My grandfather was a conductor and was responsible for building the trains. I have lived in Oregon for 67 years now. That oregone name on your video was a stab to the heart. It is orygun my friend. Thanks for the great videos.
Tino is my favorite he truly is I have been routing for him sense day one. I think the more he is on camera the funnier he gets. Tino please never leave the team you are the glue my freind
Tino is also my favorite by far, he’s also the hardest worker. The others have gotten too comfortable and hope Ryan appreciates tino more because of this.
I’d argue it isn’t better. He’s not getting into hypertrophy like that, so he’s kind of wasting his time for minimal results and he’s more likely to get injured rushing through exercises. If he were to go extremely heavy, with lower reps, then it would be worth it. As is, he’s not building muscle.
@Des420 it's definitely better, even if it has no impact on his goals, it keeps him in the mind frame if he misses one its an excuse to miss more. it keeps him motivated 🤙
Ryan, you mentioned the HP of the locomotives. The two that were in this video are SD-40's and are 3000 HP each. The diesel motor powers a generator which supplies current to each axle (6 of them) and each axle has a 500 HP traction motor. These SD-40's were THEE best loco ever built. Built by EMD (ElectroMotive Division, owned by GM) Not very many left on the Class I's RR's anymore, such as the Union Pacific. I worked for the $OO Line/Canadian Pacific for 41 1/2 years, 35 of those as an engineer.
@@zsedor Obviously I didn't look that close but TY for pointing that out. The 60's were good motors too. Me personally, I didn't quite care for them as much as they didn't hold the rail like a 40 could but the dyno's were (at the time) far superior!
I absolutely enjoy your videos. I watch them with my 2 yr old grandson. I’ve been in the contracting field for over 35yrs and your videos inspire me for my grandsons future in the trades industry. Absolutely love when you end the video with the CEO. Best concrete creator out there. Very family friendly and that’s greatly appreciated.
Put kitty litter in that throw away paint. The paint jobs are gorgeous. Gracie smiles and says thank you. Daniel turns around and shuts the door. Hope that's part of the act. That is such a sweet little girl. I love that she adores her babies. No wonder people love sending her babies. I lost most of my childhood possessions due to one thing and another, but my aunt held on to two of my dolls and I remember how much I loved them. The cloth-bodied doll and I went everywhere.
Just a little tip about mixing paint, for the same color each time you paint a machine. Measure the amount of each color and it will be more consistent.
Daniel and Grace are thee greatest! Though I find myself hiding now when you walk up to the front door! Whew that was close could hv all ended right there!
I'm a general contractor/carpenter from the Texas panhandle, near Amarillo. We're rolling here. It gets colder here than other parts of state as we are on a Caprock and 3300 ft above sea level. Love watching you guys.
Fence contractor here from the Pacific Northwest in Washington state. Work is still available however the customers are more price conscious and are getting multiple quotes. Overall it seems slower than this time last year.
That opening with Annie was edited in such a way that when you lifted her up and said "Good Work" and cut to the garbage going into the trash can made it look like Annie was being aggressively tossed into that can. I was like . . .Nooooooooo! LOL
@@tonym8765 ill have to check it out 😂 hes a good kid but hes gotta slow down a bit I think the youtube fame is getting to his head hes gotta remember if hes going to talk a big game hes gotta back it up lol
We used to have a train rail behind my house. It was about three or so miles south of the city limits. I remember the Conrail Conductor stopping the train and asking if he could get a cup of coffee. The late 1980s were spectacular
You make no excuses you are a great role model most people in the morning like that with 15 min to spare wouldnt go to the gym they’d be like “15 min isn’t enough time” definitely motivated me to where if I have extra time go get a workout in even if it is for 15 min
Before the season starts this year while he's retooling the form truck for this season, Ryan should ask the CEO if he can make a spot on the form truck for a honey bucket for the guy's to use and POW!! Immediately saving the company a cool Milli a year in poopity doopity time and let's face it time is $$$$. Plus, it could be great content.
@@user-em5xf3gw4b I don’t think Tino cares much about camera time, he’s more old school, there to make a living. I’m glad Ryan kept him on the crew, and that he has a lot of support in comments. I hope he knows we’re rootin’ for him.
When I see your family it makes me smile. Polite and respectful. It embodies what I have always known as an average American family. I know families come in all shapes and sizes but I wish this lifestyle would be promoted more. You should be very proud of your family and your family ran business. Thx for the videos.
I chuckled when Ryan was sad about pushing 80LBS for reps. Most people cant do it for 1 rep. You are a strong man my friend! Perhaps not as strong as you once were, but keep up the good work in the gym!
Cute, her "thank you" ❤ I'm glad the CEO was satisfied with your bribe. 😂 got a great family Ryan!👍🏾 truly blessed 🙏🏼 another great vlog in the books! Easy money 💰
Hey Ryan. Here's some train info you may find interesting...Work up here for a class one rail in Canada through the mountains. We go through a tunnel that's almost 10 miles long through the mountains. We pull trains up to 14500' and over 20 000 tonnes. Most train units we use are 4400hp. A train pulling 22500 tonnes up hill at a grade of 2.5% needs a minimum of 4 running units. A total of 17 400hp. 2 on the head end. One in the middle and one on the tail end. Also... the person you're talking to, isn't the conductor. You're talking to the engineer. They drive the trains. The conductor sits on the left side and is the eyes and ears for the engineer to direct him, especially while backing up and building the trains.
I am a flooring install contractor in Colorado. Business is still moving right along, no slowing down for me. Mostly new construction, residential builds. Love to watch your vids, interesting to see how another trade works and runs! Keep up the great work!
Just a heads up, Gorilla glue is water activated so when using on a surface like wood that is porous you should wet the wood down first and the bond will be significantly stronger.
Im a contractor from an hour north of Pittsburgh PA. I am more busy than i can ever keep up with. But i don't have a crew, so I might not be that far behind if i had a crew. I love your videos, Ryan. Thanks for sharing.
I am not a contractor but I work for an airfreight company, we are pretty steady for us in the middle of winter up in Alaska. Your videos give me motivation to keep moving up the ladder at work. I am a cargo handler and driver for the company.
Love your videos...package is in the mail. You should get it today. Punch small holes in the rim of the cans...paint will go back into can insteadof all over. ...Keep up the good work.
General contractor Akron, Ohio. A few years ago we relied on public bidding for about 50-75% of our work. Thankfully we now have only private work, no slow downs, ton of work.
Hey Ryan that gorilla glue is a polyurethane glue. It is water-activated. it will foam up. you are supposed to put the glue on one part and water on the other.
Hey Ryan’ I am a Stucco Contractor in the Charlotte area and we are busy as ever. Of course our winters are no where near what you get. We had a few days it was around 15 degrees. We are a family business been around since 1988 love your videos!
I know i'm not a contractor but working for the RR has been all over the place, get weeks of non-stop work and other times the yard is empty and guys are sitting on the boards waiting to go out for a day or 2 between trips. RR is a big tell on the economy too when the economy is bad we usually got guys from other states chasing after work.. and the dreaded furloughs.. This year is scary usually see the economy tank during an election year the past 3 have been that way since I have worked for one. Edit: Ironically I just saw you talked to them during the video. I commented before haha. That's also the Engineer, conductor & brakeman sits on the other side of the cab. From the looks thats a local road switcher who services industries along your area. Also those little engines they have don't have as much HP as the road engines.. Depends how many axles those engines have too.
I’m from southern mn and I recently started a landscape/ hardscape company, there is never ending amounts of work, pretty no matter where you go. It’s just a matter of if you can secure jobs. Not to mention the disappointing amounts of snow. All in all if there was more snow this year would be easier. God bless you boys I love your content keep up the amazing work!
I'm a new construction plumbing contractor in Venice Florida. We were slammed a year ago but have noticed a slight slow down in the residential market but the commercial market is still going strong. We were doing multiple underground rough ins a week to now maybe 3 to 5 a month. Love watching ypur channel.
