I love the G scale model trains running on the tracks around the beautiful flower garden on the east side of the house in Pasco, Washington! The LGB Christmas Coca Cola steam train is pulling matching Coca Cola freight cars, the White Pass and Yukon Route Railway steam locomotive #52 from Piko pulling passenger cars and the Piko Clean Machine that is a yellow battery operated track cleaning locomotive that is powered by AA batteries pulling two orange freight cars from LGB! Under one of the maple trees in the backyard, we see Carli, the American Cocker Spaniel dog running around! And if we look carefully in the background from the DJI Mini Two drone, we see American Song from American Cruise Lines docked in Richland on the other side of the Columbia River! There will be more G scale model train videos in the next months that will include Thomas and Friends! 2022 is the 50th anniversary of Operation Lifesaver since 1972, one year after Duel was released in 1971. You went to the Day Out With Thomas event at the Pacific Northwest Railway Museum in the western part of Washington. Thomas the Tank Engine is a full scale steam engine prop that is not powered. You are still going to get the two red passenger coaches in G scale made by Bachmann to add to your collection of G scale model trains. The two red passenger coaches will be the red version of the Jim Zim passenger coaches that are being pulled by Emily from Thomas and Friends manufactured by Bachmann!
just lovely Jim , like the idea of the raised bed railway , much better to look at . I have never considered before that 00 scale is about "controlling" the trains , shunting etc , where G scale is about setting the trains to run , leaving them and then finding a comfy place to sit and watch them as they go around the landscape . Do you have decoders in all of your locos then? What decoder do you recommend for g-scale locos. Looking to go from dc to Dcc. Any help from anyone would be great. Thank you! Trying to not be intimidated by the process.

I love it Jim,I’m buying some more ho stuff stick around for my next videos. called (NEW LOCOMOTIVES!!!!) but this video gave me some ideas great video and I here you running model trains does take a lot of power they might be different sence there different scales but it takes some effort for those good videos at the end
I actually got it from eBay. It's a model that hadn't been produced in quite a few years, but someone had a brand new one still in its original box that they were looking to sell.
Be aware, this is not inexpensive stuff. The Coca Cola locomotive and the tender sell for around $1000. Each rail car behind the tender is about $200. The track goes for $7 per foot. The control system at a minimum would be about $300... more like $500 to do it right. You would literally be spending thousands of dollars to get a working system.
