Hahaha thanks again wombat!!! The lips have gone down now, but I did say to brittney I didn't mind having luscious lips hahahaaha, still don't know what caused them to swell, they were much worse when I first woke up. Hope you had a merry Christmas and all the best for the new year!!

Hey we have had a fair bit going on in our personal life but we are all good now 🙂 the boat is currently out of action as the steering is seized but its booked in tomorrow to have this fixed and get engine serviced so fingers crossed the weather stays good and we can go do an overnight boat mission somewhere 🤙🤙 hope you have been well and thankyou for watching

You’ll find plenty of soft stuff around this time of year as they have a moult around late October, November /December but you’ll still find the odd hard fella getting around. Good to see you girls checking your crabs properly too ! a little tip I picked up years ago is when you check your crab at the sections near the abdominal flap & it’s rock hard don’t be fooled thinking the whole crab is going to be full always check the underside of the carapace like you girls do as that checkpoint is the main indicator to wether your crab is going to be properly full. I once heard a guy say that the sections near the abdominal flap determine how much meat is in the body and the legs and the underside of the carapace determines how much meat is in the elbows, arms & claws and over the years I’ve discovered that this is very true so if you keep checking the underside of the carapace and it’s rock hard then you can pretty much guarantee you’ll be taking home a proper full crab, good work girl’s & really enjoy your videos Happy new year ! 😜
Awesome thankyou so much for the info! Would have been nice if we did get a few more full ones but that's ok Alot of my mates put their boats in to go crabbing and didn't have as much luck as us land based. I honestly thought after all the rain we have had there would of been alot more crabs caught.
I actually thought the opposite when it rains we normally chuck them out on the flats at the mouth ina metre of water but we will definately try putting a couple deeper as well thankyou!
not having a dig at you lovely lady's or any body else that can mud crab but when they are soft in the head does that effect the claws or legs that u do eat
Dont know how many times I have seen people pull pots & catch plenty only to catch bugger all the next day because they did not renew the bait, and then say they were raided. I speak from many years of experience as a pro & reco crabber.Try it next time I think you will see a big difference
Yeah righto I just thought cause there was plenty of bait left in the pot 'she'd be right' but yeah obviously doesn't work that well haha thanks for the tip tho 🤙
