Good company that's been around for a while. Just be careful about their .308 comps, particularly on shorter barrels; I don't advise shooting them under cover under any circumstances, doubled up earpro or not.
Tim showing off absurd pistols from major manufacturers, and appropriately criticizing them, is why I keep following MAC after all these years. Always appreciate your genuine perspective.
Thank you brother. Someone has to be honest about these products that people use to defend their lives with. All the "this is GRRREAT!" videos on every thing made get a bit old for me when I know much of what's being showcased is garbage.
I have a friend named Wayne who was a police officer for 35 years in the 2nd largest US city. Wayne carried a 5 shot S&W 38 caliber revolver for off duty, despite the fact that his dept had authorized its officers to carry semi autos for off duty halfway thru Wayne's career. On two different occasions Wayne was targeted for robbery by armed suspects while off duty. Wayne shot and killed both robbers with that 5 shot 38 revolver. After the 2nd shooting I asked Wayne why the hell he still carried a 5 shot revolver when his dept had authorized semi auto's years before. Wayne stated, "In a gunfight its not the gun that matters, its the person behind the gun." Wayne was absolutely right.
@@cameronnorton5898 I respectfully disagree. I would say the real lesson is more like: Do not mess with a person who is so proficient with their CCW pistol that they can shoot a flea off of a dog's ass at 50 feet without harming the pooch.
Some years ago two men got into a pissing contest at a 4-way stop, an intersection in a grocery store parking lot. 1st guy pulls his gun to brandish it...2nd guy was a retired cop who instinctively and immediately shot the guy. The guy eventually died but not right away. No charges filed. Hard lesson to learn over a stop sign. People are crazy!
Still love the P2xx series. The guys that complain about the transition from DA to SA. Just a matter of training. Beretta PX9 Compact (Langdonized especially) are superb firearms.
Right, the XDe is the only one in the XD family that I even considered. As it stands, I am still carrying my P30, I love the DA/SA and paddle release. I would just like something slimmer and, as a nod to the present, an optics plate.
Retired police officer. Over the years I’ve carried concealed my Para Ordnance p14, Browning Hi-Power, Ruger SR1911 lightweight commander, S&W Shield performance and currently carry CZ 75 P-01. I’ve never worried about how small the gun is. My priority is “does it feel comfortable in my hand?”
I agree with you 100% alot of people love to spend alot on something they my only ise at the range when it's guns cheaper that's just as amazing and reliable to each is on
It may seem a silly question, but if people want a small compact concealable pistol why would they want rails for optics and tactical torches, those add-ons seem to defeat the object of concealability
Because you're never just looking at only one characteristic. It's all a matter of tradeoffs. Same reason why people want a 10.5" AR and then put a suppressor on it that makes it as long as a 16" - the two may have the same length, but the 10.5" is suppressed and the 16" is not, and the 10.5" is still 5.5" shorter than the 16" will be of you put a suppressor on it. Likewise, if you feel you need a weaponlight, a subcompact 9 with a weaponlight is still lighter and more concealable than a full-sized 9 with a weaponlight.
I think the big European manufactures just don't understand what the American CCW market wants, since that market simply doesn't exist in Europe and literally nobody in these companies has any firsthand experience with that method of bearing arms. They hear what we want and try to develop something to fill that demand but it falls flat because they just don't get it. They make good rifles, shotguns, and full size range/ duty pistols because you can actually buy and shoot that stuff over there, but when it comes to dedicated carry pistols they're playing darts in the dark. Even in the most gun friendly European countries, you can own pretty much whatever you want, but if your not on the range or in active police or military service you are not allowed to have a gun on your person.
Regarding "Even in the most gun friendly European countries, you can own pretty much whatever you want, but if your not on the range or in active police or military service you are not allowed to have a gun on your person." - You may want to actually read up the laws you are commenting upon.
Well here in Italy you can actually buy anything you want with a sporting-license (although you don't ever need to go the range) as long as it's semi-auto. To be able to carry though you need a special license, which is only obtainable if you can proof, that you're at high risk of being robbed (any job that involves handling big sums of cash/valuables or you're an armed guard) and even then it's not guaranteed they'll issue one. Being in law enforcement/military doesn't grant you this "privilege" automatically. For that you need to have received death threats by the mafia, gangs, etc.
365 has better ergos, better sights, and a better trigger. Idk about reliability/durability between the two. You're right that they were ahead of their game though. Underappreciated for the time I'm sure.
Agreed, there is absolutely no doubt that the Sig is a far better, more refined pistol. The introduction of the P365 may be why the P 11 was discontinued a few years ago.
I had the P11 years ago. I like Kel Tec products. Was kind of like an automatic with a revolver trigger. It worked. PF9 never was able to make reliable. P32 and P3AT always worked fine. P32 was “only” a .32. But was actually within reason a very accurate, reliable, and tiny gun. .380 had more juice. But was not near as easy to shoot well.
I bought an XD-e for my wife. She had never carried a gun before and she wanted something that she could visibily see was decocked, and had a grip safety, and a chamber indicator, and a manual safety and a manual decocker... Basically she was paranoid of a gun going off when she didn't want it to. The XD-e was the only gun that fit her safety list. And after she got it... She decided she would much rather have something else. She has an XDS now and loves it. So I would say that the XD-e served its purpose very well... It taught her what she doesn't like.
@@anthonyarcher7268 I didn't say it did. I said my wife wanted one. The implication is that she wanted every safety feature a gun could ever have and the XDe was the one we found that had the most safety features.
@@EdwardSnortin 🤣 right! I actually like it. For all the hate it gets it's been very reliable and accurate and fits mine and her hands very well. It's nothing I care to show off at the range but I've been totally confident carrying it on occasion and she loves it so...
Well, there was the also-discontinued CZ 2075 RAMI in both polymer and aluminum frame models. The aluminum frame RAMI is only an oz heavier than the XD-E (though the barrel is 0.3" shorter).
Those aren't typically the same people carrying revolvers. People compare like types of the same size. And J frames can conceal better. Some people will gladly sacrifice capacity for .357.
@@JamesClark-lw6sw sorry, but neither do neither revolvers. The point is that people will criticize someone for carrying a Glock 43 over a 365 and then will pocket a 642.
@omar slim I did as well and just replaced it with the Hellcat Pro. I liked the XDe9 and its features but.... I started carrying in 89 and my first carry gun was the Ruger P85, a brick by comparison to the XDE9 but similar features. I suppose since I trained so much with the P85 I gravitated to the XDe9 which was better for concealment. Both collectors for sure that I still enjoy but my new HC Pro makes more sense for now and feels quite nice.
I’ll throw in the CZ P10M into the mix, was waiting for CZ to come out with a small carry gun. Weird ergonomics, smaller capacity and would have been great 8 years ago
CZ...small carry gun. You mean like the 2075 Rami? I know, it's not a micro-compact design that's all the rage these days. But I'm actually not a fan of the micro 9's; they're too small even for me, an average sized guy. I prefer the sub-compact category of 9mm carry guns. They're a little bigger, a little heavier, a little easier to shoot well.
Honesty is what this community needs. I appreciate that from MAC. Sadly many on YT reviewing guns get firearms sent to them from a manufacturer and it gets a glowing review when in reality it is not. Or reviewers are fanboys of a certain manufacturers and are not objective. I am all for having a variety of firearms to choose from but not when there is so much garbage. Good job Mac! Keep it up!
I just recently went to a G27, never had a Glock before. Would have been a G26, but I needed cross-compatibilty with what we're issued so it could be a BUG on the job and wanted the Gen 5 because it's fully ambidextrous. Was looking at either a VPKS9 or PDP for personal EDC, but realized I switch carry guns every few years, wasting lots of time researching all the new stuff as I chase the newest things. Decided to stop doing that, use the KISS principle, and carry the same platform I do for work, just in a smaller package. Have been completely happy with it.
@@floridaman6138 I was a GLOCK Armorer and Instructor, and have been around GLOCKs for over 30 years. With all that said I run ALL Gen 3s, 34, 17, 19, and 26. Many interchangeable parts and mag compatibility. Also, I can use many of them in the same holster.
Carried a Glock 22 as a duty weapon for 20 years. Retired now, still rocking a Gen 3 Glock 22 and sometimes a Gen 4 Glock 27. Bought a Lone Wolf .40 to 9mm barrel and some 9mm mags for the G22 and it runs like a champ. Mainly bought it because I bought my son a Gen 5 G19 and now I have a reason to buy cheap 9mm. Gonna get a LW barrel for the G27 too. They are great guns regardless of what internet "experts" say.
If they have not done it by now, they probably are not going to. They just keep pushing the PPS M2 with 7-8 rounds for about $450. Good pistol, but come on Walther, get with the times.
i strongly disagree with the magazine floor plate complaint. Sometimes you are willing to sacrifice slightly on ergonomics and capacity for improved concealment/comfort and other times your outfit allows for a larger footprint. having magazine options with and without floor plate extension gives you more choice with the same firearm.
i kind of expected the 42 to be on this list, but it was released before the 365 so i guess it didn't meet the criteria. I actually own one (and carry it), but i know it's hated by a lot of people.
@@angryroostercreations5194 I own one also, and it’s my home carry gun. Lightweight, accurate, controllable and the perfect size for .380. You can cut down the follower about an 1/8 of an inch or so to add an extra round in the mag. I’ve had no malfunctions doing so.
Funny, when SIG introduced the P365 (which I love), Kel-Tec had been producing the P11 (which can hold 13 rounds with a flush-fit magazine) for 22 years! Again, the SIG is better, but the only thing they pioneered was, uh, well, they put a striker in the same size package. I've got no problem with the P11 trigger. Feels like a staple gun, yes, but I can hit what I'm shooting at. And, oh, by the way, the Kel-Tec is smaller and lighter.
I will always take a full size grip over the shorter ones offered. I have taken at least 3 defensive pistol classes and the students with short grips like the 365, were slower and less accurate than a full grip.
I liked the XDe. It should have had a higher capacity magazine, but I enjoyed the light slide rack and a hammer fired gun. Maybe if they waited for magazine technology to catch up, it could have been a better firearm. I miss my XD subcompact. It was pretty accurate for such a short sight radius.
There are many crap guns by big names OMG what about heavy top Remington RP9 or the R51 that grinds like sand, or the nice looking S@W Bodyguard 380 with that horrible trigger, what about the equalizer? the STM thunderstruck with the hardest trigger ever for concealed carry or the Glock “Perfection” 44 that can’t shoot twice without jamming most 22 ammo 😂
Awesome content, Awesome topic Great Channel: It seems that Sig Sauer is now setting a standard in leading the firearms industry for pistol and rifle design, innovationish and trend setting, but that is a heavy burden to stay on top. which they seem to be doing pretty well at for the moment. Some other company may just knock them down a level, with some of the firearms innovation going on in the industry though.
The 32 version is not particularly durable, a 380 version isn't really possible in a blowback of that small size unless it is steel and has some form of delayed unlocking mechanism, like the tiny Seecamp 380/32/25.
@@unclenunzie interesting, I hadn't considered that. I just like the Tomcat but .32 is obscure, expensive and kinda useless. .380 would make the gun much more practical. Maybe it's like wishing for a pet pegasus
I was hoping I was NOT alone with my DISGUST with the Beretta and the 503 and a few other similar duds....just absolutely STUPID guns in light of the P365 and company. Thanks for supporting sanity in the industry...keep pushing...eventually they just might listen !?!
If H&K made one, it would cost $800.00 and mags would cost $85.99 because H&K hates civilians, though with out us they would have gone bankrupt at least 9 more times.
@@Strayzshadow I'd still buy it though lol. It'd be a nice addition to my HK collection. But you're right they definitely don't give a shit about civilians.
I’m honestly shocked so many people didn’t like the 503. I picked it up and it’s been my go to for nearly a year now. Been extremely reliable and I haven’t had any issues. It’s definitely expensive and it’s definitely extremely small grip wise but I felt the 8 rd magazine made up for it.
Okay I don't think you'll change me over to ever wanting to buy a Sig but I must salute the fact that you've shot a ringing target to the point it no longer rings.
The APX Carry uses the old Nano’s mags. For the time the Nano was a neat carry option, but I feel like they just updated it to look like their full size APX line and said “Good enough, and let’s use all those leftover Nano mags.”
Love the APX Carry and I am not a new shooter by any sense of the word. His opinion was strictly Bias obviously and seemed Butt Hurt by Beretta for some reason. He also forgot to mention the fantastic serrations on this gun.
great points on the Beretta. I have the full size a1 for home defense; i remember seeing the carry version at my local ffl and thinking it looked extremely awkward. Didn't even pick it up. I will stick with a p-07 for carry
I'm normally someone that will give any Beretta a look just because of the flawless round counts I have on various ones I've had and carried over the years, including the Nano that I ultimately didn't much like. But I passed on the Pico and never gave the APX enough attention to even know what its capacity was until this video. As a southpaw, I love the ARX-100 though and picked it up at a local Academy store for half what they were going for everywhere else at the time. There's some new stuff coming that's interesting, but I think the stated price points will make them dead on arrival.
My wife's EDC (purse) is her Sig P365 SAS, which she mostly keeps on her bedside table at home. She loves it, and believe it or not, when we bought it, she picked it above the Berretta, the FN, every Taurus model and the Springfield, because, as she stated, "it just fits my hand better!" The recoil is a little more than expected, but she soon got used to it, and she just loves her little SAS. My EDC is a Taurus 605, loaded with Rem. 125 gr. semi-jacketed .357 mag. soft points. 'Nuff said!
I recall seeing a p365 the first time. That it had a 10 round mag blew my mind. The only turn off was that the grip was way to small for my large hands.
As a Beretta fanboy, I completely agree with you on all points! The APX line just left me stupefied. So much wasted time, money and effort (yes, I bought an APX A1 Carry with a deep discount and fat rebate... that will sit in my gun safe until the zombie apocalypse).
I agree 100%, your complaint about the Beretta is the reason why I don't own one. My wife wanted a smaller firearm decided to go with the Taurus g3c because it uses sig226 magazines and I have a pile of them. Have lots around count through my Taurus g3s never a problem and a hold more than six rounds.
Funny about the FN 503. My local gun store put this gun on sale $300. Then they offered 2 more magazines with it for free, called it a “package”. The sale price seemed to become permanent and now they are sold out. No “be notified when restocked”.
@@mattstarr2674 I would too, I love FN products. But FN is up there with HK, in regard to their pricing. I.e., their products aren't worth (to me) what they sell for. I have a FN 509 and FNS, which is pretty much the same firearm in regard to the internals. Never owned a Glock until they got rid of the finger grooves. Hate finger groove grips in anything. I ended up liking the Glocks because I shot them really well. So have a G19 and 17 and carry a G48. Not of fan of any micro 9...they're too small for me.
My work put them on sale for $299 and at the time FN was offering extra mags, we sold them all too. Even at their sale price the Taurus G3C and GX4 are better guns for the dollar. But, least I don't have to look at those damn things anymore.
Hate to say it, but I’ve been carrying the FN 503 as my off duty handgun for over a year. I love how narrow it is. That’s the reason for buying it. Shoots well, qualify with 100’s every year. It’s an oh shit off duty handgun. Not a range star. Never claim to be. Remember the intent. It takes all kinds.
All the P 2xx handguns (and I own most of them) are or at least were target grade carry pistols that never seemed to not fire. 229 in 9mm originally being designed for .40 will go on forever.
@@jaredbickmore2474 I love Beretta 92 series pistols and own 7 different models. Each time that I went to buy one, I tried to get one that was made in Italy. IMO, the ones made in Italy are a better made. The most significance difference is the finishes on the blue steel models. The ones made in Italy have, IMO, a nicer finish. I eventually bought three pistols that were US made a: two 9mm compact 92 fs, one in blue steel and one in Inox (kind of like stainless steel) finish. A full size 9mm 92fs in Inox. So, I see where you are coming from. With that being said, Its been 10 years since I bought my last US made Beretta and I do not have any regrets. I own a 226 and a 229, both with SRT's, that were made in NH USA, and I absolutely love those pistols. Just like I love my Beretta's that are US made. The last German made Sig 226 pistol was last imported to the US in 2016 from a German contract overrun. If you do not own a 226, just because you cant fina German made one, you are missing out.
Sig seems to be very consistent in their testing methods. Just about every firearm they've ever designed they've never tested it. Most people would think "hey let's build 100 of this new firearm and test the hell out of it". Sig: "hey it fired, build thousands and hope for the best".
The only redeeming quality about the APX compact is the wide trigger guard. For a guy like me who works out doors in cold weather all day being able to get a gloved finger in the trigger guard is appealing
I recently bought an FN 509C MRD as a new concealed carry... One of my most regrettable gun purchases I've ever made. Big and bulky for what it is and what you pay. Ambi mag release pushes into my finger on the other side so the mag doesn't drop. Wonky sights. I decided to just carry my AREX Delta M Gen2 as my EDC. It's the same size, holds more, and feels so much nicer in my hands.
I recently bought a FN 509 CC Edge. I regretted the purchase. Gun works but like yours it's big bulky for what it is, the compensator serves no purpose other that to throw the gun off balance. I suppose I'll take loss and try to sell it used.
New(ish) to shooting handguns... I tried a few of the 1.5 stack sub-compact pistols (along with a couple single stacks), such as the Sig P365. They were all "uncomfortable" to shoot. The S&W was almost a win! Then I fired the Chubby Baby G26. Ugh 😩, a Glock?! Well, it was very nice to shoot. So much so, I bought one for CCW!
I have Glocks, the Sig 365 and the Sig 365XL to name a few. What do I carry? The Beretta APX A1 Carry. Just a solid well built great shooter. I love it. You did not mention that the gun comes with a 8 round magazine which is the most common. It is modular design, a great EDC trigger, great magazines etc. Fits my hand much better than my 365 and a super mild shooter. Beretta did a fantastic job on this gun. Interesting but another well know RU-vidR rated it number One and extremely under rated. I understand this is your Bias opinion. And for sure opinions are a dime a dozen on RU-vid. Sorry to see you bash such a fine firearm. If I cannot get the job done with 9 rounds, then I guess it just was not my day. By the way, the Sig 365 space between the receiver and the grip is ridiculous small and narrow. Does not offer anywhere near the rood for the OFF HAND. Made for small hands. You forget to mention that as well. Sorry, but totally disagree with you. Have a good day.
One of the only things the xde had going for it was the easier to rack slide. My mother in law still uses the gun because of lack of grip strength in her hands. At the time it was one of the only guns that had that.
The extended mag plates are good because they are optional. I can carry the 365 with 1 of 3 choices. One of them holding an extra round. But the micro 9s did it the right way.
I concede that the XD-E was not for many people, but Ernest Langdon thought enough of it to produce LTT versions of it. I'm glad I got mine when prices were good and Springfield was doing a gear up promo. I carry it far more than anything else. It just fits my hand better.
Gun snobs can laugh, but I have an XDE in 45ACP & even though it holds less than a 1911, it's the one gun I have that's small enough to fit into a dry box I have. It's basically my "shower gun" in the highly unlikely chance home invaders make the mistake of picking my place while I'm cleaning up.
Or Langdon just thought it would sell enough units to make it worth his while. I bought my 92X Performance direct from his website with a LTT trigger job on it (which makes an already great trigger insane on that gun), so he was selling that gun despite video that's out there of him saying he isn't particularly fond of the choices made with it and that he wasn't included in the design process on those. And while I absolutely love the gun, I think his criticisms of it have some merit. For example, despite my affinity for the 92FS, I have grown to like the Vertec grip myself, but agree with him that they didn't need to use a Brigadier slide on the 92X Performance (and I always found the Brigadier slides aesthetically unpleasing, but that's just me).
Personally, I prefer a larger gun... they absorb the recoil much better... the smaller guns are too snappy and continually have to be re-focused. My all around favorite are the S&W M&P EZ's... I have four of them in various configurations. 👍
My petite wife is the same way. I'll offer you the same advice I offered her; deal with it princess. 😉 P.S. I'm just giving you a hard time. No need to get offended. Everyone is different and many people have ailments that affect their ability to do this or that. I just saw an opportunity to throw shade in a friendly sort of way. 🍻
I'm someone who never saw the big deal between shooting a 9 and a .40, so apparently I'm not real recoil sensitive, but I do prefer something a little bigger and thicker in the grip (currently carry a G27).
I'm a huge fan if the fn 509 but I seriously thought the 503 was a joke when it was released.... fn and beretta both have the capability to make something great and maybe one day they will for this category. Oh and let's not forget that newer single stack cz p10M
I carried a Beretta Nano until the Hellcat came out. Immediately switched. I hated the trigger on the Nano and the APX Carry just always struck me as a rebranded Nano.
I guess that's why I, as a bit of a Beretta fanboy, never gave the APX any real attention - I felt the same way - like you, it seemed to me like more or less the same gun and I'd already had a Nano and moved on.
Maybe it shows my age, but I prefer DA/SA pistols. That being said, I carry a P365 until weather permits my carrying my M11-A1. I think if the Springfield was a double stack it definitely would have had a better chance.
I had an apx carry (not a1) for a while. I wouldn't be quite as harsh in my criticism. In reality it's a nano 2.0. The original nano came out in 2011 and if you think about it's features and design compared to other guns of the time (shield, kahr guns, etc) it's a decent option. Beretta changed the name to capitalize on having an entire APX family. I think if they called it a nano 2.0 you'd like it more Also consider that at the time when Beretta was making the original nano and s&w had the shield, sig had the p290 which I would say is mechanically a decent gun, but ergonomically, capacity wise, proportion wise, and being a hammer fired gun, all made it arguably one of the biggest duds of the single stack 9 era/craze
His bashing of the APX A1 Carry is totally wrong in every sense of the word. Ridiculous comments about the gun and I truly wonder why he did this. I feel he has another reason to go against Beretta and nothing to do with the gun. Yes, the APX Carry is a New Gen from the Nano which has gone through a number of improvements. The Nano came out in 2012, The A1 is the latest version. Extremely well Built, firearm. Modular design with few parts and easy to change parts or grim. The Grip is fantastic and with fantastic stippling. The gun is designed to allow a FIRM grip with the OFF HAND. Insane that he compares it to the Sig 365 (which I have and which does NOT even fit my hand. The space between the receiver and the Grip is so dang narrow and so many ride the slide. The gun has a heavy slide which makes it one of the most mild mannered Micro 9mm's in the current market. I have over 18,000 rounds through one Nano alone. Love shooting this gun. Yes it is a single stack, but he keep on trying to tell every one it is just a 6 rd magazine. And for God Sake, He needs to compare side by side the Sig and others to see that this gun has wonderful grip compared to others. I have to say, I really lost faith in this channel after this unnecessary bias. Something SMELLS. This was not about the gun but something with Beretta.
Sig P290 is a very accurate and reliable pistol. Own one myself. But absolutely correct. In today's market not happening. Mine had that laser module that was junk, sold it off. The pistol is a solid shooter. I've carried it as back up in the pocket and in my bibs. I also have the 8 round mags.
MAC's original vid on the APX was a defining moment for me. This guy's either nuts or just doesn't like Beretta. I knew he was being over the top when he was acting how hard racking the slide was in mud.
I have an older Beretta Nano , it’s a great summer carry pistol especially with 8 round mag. I agree with you just make the grip longer . I tried the APX carry and couldn’t see that it was worth replacing the Nano. I thought the Nano had better ergos . Or maybe I am just used to it.
I’m actually one of the guys that was excited about the XDE however I was more excited about the P365 and double stack carry pistols. I enjoy a double single action. I don’t think a lot of people realize when you study how their pistil works internally that the gun is pretty well 100% cocked except for Glock that’s the reason blocked triggers traditionally, or not as nice.
@@Militaryarmschannel I looked at the XDE as an option, saw it was discontinued. Looked into why, and notice the capacity for the size. Yeah, I see why.
Regardless, these 100% cocked polymer pistols are 100% safe to carry. If they weren’t, you’d be hearing about hundreds/ thousands of people shooting themselves daily.
@@mr.mr.3301 I’ve only ever seen one video of this actually happening as they claim. You would think with all the bodycams on cops they could provide actual evidence of this. One time doesn’t constitute an outbreak of panic and hysteria. Most likely it’s being caused by poor training and poor holsters/ carry practices. Also you are talking about one pistol out of hundreds on the market.
Ok.... I'm that one weirdo that loves the xde 9mm although I am way different than the majority of other shooters. I had my trigger finger ripped off at the first knuckle in a machine f up and it is a stock firearm that I didn't have to grind on to accommodate shooting with my middle finger while the nub rides on the frame. Most of my other carry guns I do quite a bit of shaping on to get comfortable which greatly reduces the value in the secondary market. It may sound goofy but I messed around with one in a steel challenge type setup and that single/double hammer ended up having a practical use on some boxes I had from freedom munitions that were having trouble in multiple guns. Gotta love the second strike ability 🤣🤣🤣. But like I said before.... the xde was by no means for everyone and it's base size and weight feel very similar to my cz75 and 75 clones with re worked grips and shaping. It does pain me to shape up a cz frame.... much more than my chopped glock frames where I have my own 19 and 26 long slide 🤣🤣🤣. Then all of my plans were dumped upside down with the whole ar pistol in 9mm and other pcc's that took glock mags. When my wife and I travel, ALL of my spare mags will run in my wife and I's handgun and pcc in the truck 🤣.
I bought my wife a P365 Macro that she has for concealed carry. The best ammo I tested is Speer Gold Dot +P 124 grain. This pistol loves it and chews it up, even with her small hands its not overwhelming for her and she hits the bullseye every time. the Federal HST was nearly as good and is a good second choice but Speer is the best in my opinion.
@@edwins1718 False. The Springfield Armory, a US government arsenal founded in the 1790s, has not produced a firearm since before the Vietnam war. Its a national historic park with a museum in Springfield, MA. Springfield Armory INC is a corporate entity that bought the rights to the name and logo maybe 20 or so years ago and operates out of Illinois. And they are and always have been a dumpster fire. The government should take back the name and logo by eminent domain.
As a die hard Beretta fan, oh, how I agree with your critique of the APX Carry. A year or two ago, I heard the rumblings of a new double stack compact. Yea, and we got the 80-X. For $750... or 1000 for the launch model.🙄. Beretta! Earth to 21st century!
A lot of people do prefer DA/SA carry guns ,especially those of us that appendix carry guns. I would love it if a company would come out with a micro 9 with the capacity of the the Hellcat or the p365 in a DA/SA model
Great video, as usual. You were spot on about the ridiculous XDe. Springfield makes (or licenses) some fantastic weapons systems, but the XDe was absurd. Their new Prodigy is right there with it.
The design & marketing people at SA apparently take their ideas & fling them at the wall to see if they stick. If I want a 9mm from them, I'll get an XDM Elite. But I don't want a 9er, I want a 10MM... Prodigy? I'll ignore & override!
The Springfield Prodigy is actually a fantastic pistol that needs more refinement. It will become the gun it should have been, but it should be priced $100-$200 less.
My CCW: P365 FCU in a Wilson Combat XL grip module, 12+2 MagGuts magazine springs (which have been utterly reliable with any ammo), TacDev magazine baseplates, in a 4Bros IWB holster. Fifteen rounds in a highly accurate and concealable pistol. I won't be changing from this configuration anytime soon.
