The Axis is in its happy place, precise splits on big rounds. Great seeing Jesse again, the rental fee is a 12 pack of cold Dr Pepper for Joe. lol. Great video Joe and Jesse. Stay safe and see you in the next one. 👍🏻👍🏻
By help you really mean watch, film and pick on.......oh I mean supervise. Great to see Log Hauler Jesse working on his log piles and his dad out and about. Great piece. 🤠👍👍👍👍
Love to see those big rounds! Thanks Jesse for showing off how the Axis handles them. And you almost filled your trailer too, heh heh. Elaine from Canada here, hope you’ll get all the winter boiler wood you need split in no time. Hey Joe, ‘tis nice of you to lend him the machine to help him get it done. Great video, cheers.
I've been waiting for this. I figured the Axis would be good for this. I enjoy watching you and LH Jessie. I like hardworking guys who get things done because they have to. I respect people who other people can rely on. Wood is wood, but you don't sell wood. You sell dependability. Your customers need dependability.
@@loghaulerjesse8228 I think the only way to attack those huge rounds is to start whittling down the sides, like you did, until they are manageable. Good job 👍
Good To See you Both Joe and Jesse. That is Quite the Machine. The Axis GT! Nice looking Big Oak Rounds Jesse. I can tell you Truth I would be there Helping Jesse if I could. You Definitely have to be on Guard when doing that, it could Kick out at you. Joe and Jesse I did to much Wood Cutting and Splitting last Wednesday and Thursday and paid for it as I had a Heart Attack on Thursday Night so I am Recovering in the Hospital For a little time till I get out Wednesday. Then home to recover another 2weeks till I can gradually start to cut and Split again only 1to 2hours a Day every other Day. Be Safe out there you 2, Joe and Jesse. Ron
That requires a LOT of manhandling the wood. Hands are too close to the splitting blade while operating. The outfeed conveyor is nice. I'm a fan of the horizontal 4-, 6-, and 8-way adjustable splitter that I saw demonstrated a week or two ago on RU-vid. The guy got 8 pieces in one pass, and wasn't anywhere near the blades.
I've run both and i am fully in the vertical camp. If this huge log was run thru a horizontal splitter you would be pulling splits back multiple times. That becomes a pain
Hey Jesse the x27 🪓 and a bottle of Aleve 💊would have split that straight grained stuff in about the same time for about $15,000 less… 😁 just kidding fun to watch that thing go. Amazed by how the crane moved that log so smoothly, thx to operator experience!
