Four extremely powerful engines make it possible save they are not very fuel efficient hence the reason most airlines have reverted to two engine aircrafts
Utterly amazing technological development over the last 100 years. I'm always awestruck to see something this big, heavy and beautiful doing what it does.
They all take off and land the same way but they are all so majestic and different at the same time. You never get tired in marvelling at their beauty.
Today for the first time, i saw a big Boeing take off. So awesome . Pilots are on another level. Coolest job ever . Yes am a small country girl. Our national airline plane is a borrowed small aircraft.
Awesome video I enjoyed the whole 15 mins. I love how graceful planes glide thru the air & how fascinating it is to see them take off & Land. Loved the music as well.
That last plane is definitely an Antonov, but not the AN-225. The AN-225 has six turbofan engines, not four props. The only existing model of which destroyed by the Russians when they attacked Hostomel airport. May we always remember Мрія
The AN 22 isn't by any stretch, a nice looking plane, however, it's take off and landings are mesmerising...The sheer size of it, I expected hard landings and really long take offs, but wow, like a Russian ballerina, she was delicate and soft.... First time seeing one too...I must get out from under my rock more often lol
At 13:23 ANTONOV AIRLINES is visible written on this Cargo Plane...Latest Antonov AN-225 have 6 Engines But this Old Model AN-22 have 4 Turbo Engines...
i agree! when you consider the mass involved, the sheer weight....and yet they just float and glide in so effortlessly and dont drop like rocks! it IS amazing!
I agree and for all intents and purposes, like a bumble bee, planes shouldn't be able to fly...but they both do...I love flying, just hate all the people IN said tin can 😁
I’ve never flown and never will , however I can’t help but admire the highly skilled pilots who fly and actually land these giants . They look so small in the sky 😂
Hello, the number 1 is not the AN 225, it is the AN 22, there are many differences between them, the first and most visible is that the AN 225 is 6 turboreactor turbines and the AN 22 is 4 elises turbines
A better use of the real estate would have been to say where they are landing and taking off from and the type of aircraft. If they are all at the same airport then that could be mentioned in the title. So you could have done something like: Lufthansa A340-600 flight *** departing to NYC JFK etc.
I saw the Antonov 225 take off and landing in las vegas while working at Maccarn airport .. this video does it no justice on just how large and loud it really is
I loved this video until the very end when you mistook the AN 225 for the AN 22. Rookie error my friend. RIP the most beautiful, gigantic, heavy lifting master piece of our life times.
Although nice collection of footage, some types were incorrect. A A320 smuggeled in between the A340's and a B777 came in between the the 747-400. And as far as I know KLM does not have a 747-8. And of course the nr 1 is not the A225 Mriya bit the AN22. Still a very special "bird". I have seen it here on "our" local airport EHBK.
From 1903, we went from basic frames with an unreliable engine by today's standards, to high tech machines that have broken the sound barrier to being able to withstand 9 g's and being almost invisible to radar. Dam, I wonder what the future holds in the next 100
Nice shots. However, I'm wondering why during the segment on the A-340 you show a plane that is clearly a 2 engine aircraft and you do the same thing in the section on the 747-400 segment. It makes zero sense why you mix in an aircraft that is clearly different from the category you are featuring.
Dammit how do u lift something so heavy off the ground? Will i be able to lift weights if im rolling them on the ground and they got propellors attached to them?
You fully understand the physics of the theory of flight. On how a airplane operates. Engines creating the trust forward motion air flow flowing through the wings creating the lift together . Good example try sticking your arm out of the window when you’re car is in full speed you can actually feel airflow causing your arms to want lift up.
The take off is the worst part for me Me (as a human) don’t like the feeling of going very fast in a tight cramped space that is going in the air. Its unnatural. But when we start cruising im fine. I just hate the takeoff. It builds up anxiety & stress when we first get into the air.
