Awesome job - and almost identical to what I have planned for my garden. A few questions: 1. How many tones of MOT did you put down (justa s a rough measure)? 2. Did you put a slope on the drain pipe running from the ACO to the rainwater drain - if so by how much? 3. What was the spec/description of the membrane you put under the MOT? 4. What are the black rubber?? leads on the left side of the patio steps? Did you put seals in or are they electrical wires? Thanks in advance.
H! 1.5 tonne a m.o.t per 10 sq.m Pipe running with slope, slope just for water flows, water easy goes true away. Weed membraine for driveways and patios. On the steps sides is el. Cables for future conection led ligts for every step and all around the wall. After been done by electrician lads. I just leave the cables out for conection.
A lot of great work and by your self as well fair play, Does the line of cut slabs against the house not wind you up? You could of set it out so it worked full slabs, it’s only a couple of 100mm one way or the other?
Good job 👍old stone mason should always put your tread down first and risers on top went do that should allow 20 mL overhang on the treads I'm running a drip through them be land them that the way I was taught been marble granite stone York be do this work for 40 years old school stone mason you never stop learning 👍 look really good job what done how I said 👍
Wow some effort we’ll done on your own. Had one question the threshold drain where did you drain the water to water it connected to the rainwater pipes from rood drainage or just into the ground?
You’ve got cuts on two sides of it surely you could of avoided both sets of cuts with a little planning from the front, Your work looks spot on till that point and I just wonder to bother of
I hope you don't get cracks. I would have layed a slab with mesh and let it cure before laying the tile, especially if the joint is narrow. Thats a big area.
to level and set each slab individually and drying time of primer and cement, there can be multiple problems with pouring a massive pad unless drylaying , 1 once the cement mix is down its a race to lay all tiles, level can be off- you will need to walk in the cement....
What did you use to stick the tiles to the wall? I have a small raised patio with flag on edge showing around the sides that I would like to stick porcelain to.
