Love how you solved the over engineered Ford accelerator sensor. Let's make a delicate part to go in a commercial light truck chassis. The weakest component your solution is the Variable Resistor (on/off switch), when that one wears out and it will, because of the environmental conditions it wasn't designed to be in, replacements are available.

Liking the longer format. Well done on the glacier hike. I have added that to my list of places to visit. Such an unusual landscape. I was happy to see more of the rough road footage (compared to your earlier videos) and seeing how well the rig performs. It was interesting to see how much or little the box was moving relative to the frame flex off road (I am assuming you had the hold down pots released), especially compared to the typical springy swaying seen on the other truck. Your custom bumpers are the shizzle. Great video. Thank you!

Yeah, the elevation was not kind to this wide load, I can sit still without issues, but after a ½ hour of strenuous activity I have a hard time suckin' wind... Team blue was a reluctant choice because they are 2x the cost, and because of all the burnt blue parts I've been dealing with lately. Made worse because they've offloaded warranty concerns to the dealer you originally dealt with... We've been helping some other travelers and the cost of shipping the dead unit back and then arguing with dealers to ship to Colombia has been a nightmare, not to mention the cost of the shipping rivaling the value of the product in the first place. Their dealer map is a bit of a joke too... Of the dozen or so I tired to work with, none of them have useful stock and they just middleman a purchase and order it once you prepay in full...

@Everlanders , I'm so glad you had it solved. I just wanted you guys to know this about my EV project. I took Soloar installation and design classes and EV car design at College of Marin... as a owner I have a 1982 VW 4 door Rabbit, with new solar panels going on top, I'm using 8, 12, VDC Deep cycle Gell MK series brand for my 96~125 volt 120 Hp series wound Presstolight motor. I own and have the original George Wasaleno 96~125 vdc to 15 volt utility batter charger, I own the inverter rights, it came along with schematic and master circutboard with the car I got from a fellow with a EE degree who built it in 1994, Street leagle. When it was easier to get them through DMV. Ha, an EV 1, It is the Felton CA EV1 kit from the 70s. I'm already passing Gas station's. I'm also buliding an H2 generator for a small gas generator to run off of it. That would be for emergency batter charging. My dream is to be able to go off grid and drive all over California without using gasoline. I love the free charge stations, and I'm using ChatGBT to design my electronic power Inverter units. I love your video about lo cost buck inverters and the other stuff. Check out Daves Garage, RU-vid. former MS programmer from the dos and Microsoft Windows days. I hope this thread finds you guys well and safe and having fun. I'll be putting up my own RU-vid series pretty soon about things I've been working on. I had a similar problem. Upon installation, my Multiplus 24/2000 defaulted to zero charging current. Turns out it has two settings; a power limit AND a charge current limit. Took some digging to find that. And they're not all that accurate. The Multiplus 2000 does have a lower standby current than a Multiplus 3000, so it's easier on my battery. But even though it can operate down to 18.xx volts, the minimum low voltage restart voltage is 20.6V. So I added another inverter (Victron Phoenix 24/375 ) for my critical loads. That covers the entire range of a Tesla 6S LiIon battery stack, and has even less standby current, and restarts at 18.xx Volts.

Thanks Bernie! I'm still leery about trusting the pedal for very long, I just can't bring myself to the many hundreds of dollars of shipping and importing a new pedal. Starlink has been amazing all throughout Colombia 🇨🇴. Cellular and Wi-Fi is often saturated and we were lucky to get one or two megabits per second. So having 250 MB reliable service has been quite the treat. Unfortunately the second we crossed into Ecuador the terminal changed its country code, and now receives no service until the regulatory agencies have given approval in Ecuador, targeted for Q4 2022. 🤞 www.starlink.com/map?source=rv

the shocks being dead are defiantly not helping your suspension, would see how replacing them and the bushes go before firing the fully loaded parts cannon at the problem.

To be clear, they are still damping just fine - granted they are leaking, but no bounce after a speed bump.

@@Everlanderswhen they are cooking they are probably suffering from cavitation and not damping much at all when really needed, bounce after a speedhump not a good indicator of overall function. some primemover shocks with large oil capacity or ideally for someone handy with tools such as yourself rebuild-able remote reservoir shocks with nitrogen accumulators if you want something that will last many years, just make sure what ever you fit you cant bottom out or over extend and you should be good.

Awesome video from start to finish thanks. I've often wondered why you didn't use the big blue gear. but now I know from comments and reply's. are you planning on integrating the multi with your raspi gear?

Wow quite the series of events guys! Did I miss an update on the air system? We're you able to get the parts needed to plug/cap the air system to hold the panels in place again?

It got cut from the edit, it was an easy enough fix once I had some time... The tank inlet was capped off, and I ran the system straight from the compressor with no tank for a couple of days until I could get the broken brass fittings out and a new drain valve put in...

Hello, I would like to know the measurements of the truck, length, width, height and weight. Could inform me? And if you know the measurements of your friend's truck, thank you.
