This is a remake of Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg's song Deep Cover. Same beat, and that's where you heard '187 on an undercover cop'. Heather B was a rapper who had a song called "All Glocks Down". She been Sway in the Morn ing's co-host for like 15 years now.

music SONICALLY is preference. however LYRICS can be quantified. just like we can grade a WELL WRITTEN paper, we can ALSO grade a well written rap verse by measuring: content, cohesiveness, vocabulary, similes, metaphors, entendres, rhyme scheme, so LYRICALLY we CAN say one is better than the other.. but as far as the better MUSIC, well that is opinion.

This is a Doctor Dre produced beat. Him and Snoop did this in the “Deep Cover” movie starring Lawrence Fishburne This was on the soundtrack first song released by Death Row.

This is a remake of Dr Dre and snoop Doggs song "Deep cover" 187 on an under cover cop..... Heather B who is now Sway in the morning co host with sway used to be a rapper down with boogie down productions... most if not all her beats were produced by Kenny Parker the brother of KRS one... anyways she had a song called "all glocks down" hence the reason pun said Heather b couldn't make him put his glock down

When Fat Joe says "boogie down like Nine" hes talling about the rapper named Nine from the South Bronx who was Big Puns favorite lyricist. I actually worked with Nine for years. I highly recommend you listen to Nine - Redrum and you'll understand why Pun loved his music and why Fat Joe shouted him out on this track. His biggest single was Watchu Want, but Redrum was on the B Side and its way more gritty

Gotta do “Banned from Tv” and “John Blaze” there both two of the best feature tracks of the 90’s….Nas, Raquan, The Lox, Noreaga, Rarkwon, Cam’ron, Big Pun, exc is on them. But Pun outshines everyone on both records. IMO of corse

Yeah, that "187 on an undercover cop" was Snoop. It was a son called Deep Cover for the soundtrack of the Laurence Fishburn movie called Deep Cover in 1992. Pun and Joe used this version for Pun's debut album and called it Twinz (Deep Cover 98). The got the original beat from Dre and Snoop is in the video.

Yeah... Im a Bronx dude, & can definitely verify that Joe is REAL, & so was Pun... Back in the day, 50's DJ, DJ Whoo Kid.. Pun grabbed him off the Street..threw him in a Van, & 'kidnapped' him for a few hours, because Whoo Kid wouldn't Play him & Joe's records... yea Snoop Dogg said that high pitched line "its still 187 on an undercover.." In NYC, black people and latinos are in the streets and been like that since hip hop started in the Bronx. You should have lyrics up everytime you listen to people like Pun, Wu Tang, and Nas, cuz their lyrics are just WAY TOO complex. you listen to their music MULTIPLE times and you ALWAYS hear something new.
