How are you able to shift? I thought the transaxle would shred gears.

It just has keys that slide into slots under the gears, it doesn't have moving gear sets.

It's pretty stable at speed! Probably because it has good alignment and new tires all round

45 is faster than I ever cared to go on a mower haha. Mutt tops out at about 34, pretty stable with the custom front end though.

Thats plenty fast for an off roader for sure! The stock front end on this thig has got some play, but not bad enough to really worry about for now. I still need to put the transaxle back together though...

No clue, probably because it's a brand new Kevlar belt and a strong clutch spring if I had to guess
