This week we are going to take a look at a viewer requested deck, namely wildfire. This deck is problematic in larger cubes because of density, but we can play a few other options to help that, along with tips and tricks for playing the UR version and the GR version.

In black tasigur and gurmag angler work well with wildfire. Either you play them before and they survive, or you play them after delving away the sacrificed lands.

Very cool video. I like to try to draft this, but never tried the RG version. You should do one on Smokestack, another great build around card.

The audience for cube related stuff just isn’t nearly as big as for EDH unfortunately.

Great video. However, maybe it should be mentioned that Upheavel is insanely busted and much more powerful than any Wildfire variant. What do you think about the powerlevel of Wildfire decks? I think that the Green-Red ones are fine even in lower power settings. However, I think that the Red-Blue Upheavel version is close to Power.

I run a powered cube and Upheaval is the only card people have asked me to ban from it.

@@joelmonteiro1419 This is probably do to the feel bads, upheaval is very strong, but I don't think it is one of the most broken things you could be doing in a powered cube.

Yeah, it's practically impossible to come back after a resolved Upheaval. But in powered environments with the best mana rocks available, it becomes borderline broken. In my slow and low power level cube I run Flood of Tears instead, and it has been decent.

Love the wildfire decks. I wanna suggest other 2 cards that are simmetrical creatures and lands wraths, one white and one black. First one is Balance, a P1P1 card even in powered cubes and the second one Death Cloud. These cards wants more walkers, since they kill your fatties regardless of the toughness.

Balance is so strong I would probably not play it in any environment that was not powered.
