I think Donte Jackson could be a gem. He was always one of the bright spots on a bad Panther’s defense and he always played good football with injuries holding him back. I hope that with him joining a defensive backfield that has guys like Minkah/JPJ/Queen/Wilson/Elliot he won’t have to do all the heavy lifting and that good play/production is all he needs to do on a defense with so many stars

I see the only reason that Fields replaces Wilson is if Russ gets injured. Just seem like the few bears games I watched last year to check his game out. He seemed like any rookie/sophomore going thru them growing pains developing accuracy can be fixed with coaching but is valid flaw I also seen. But I wholeheartedly believe that he was not put into situation to succeed in Chicago. Really didn’t have protection or any safety valve. Russ is rarely hurt, although he was injured in 2021 (throwing hand) and 2022 (knee), he hasn’t suffered any debilitating injuries. He doesn’t have those nagging injuries that other athletes do. He’s not OBJ or Jimmy G. He’s notoriously durable and healthy. He will start, and I doubt he will be injured.
