Big River Barbel Fishing - Trent Challenge!
For this latest AD challenge we head to the mighty river Trent for a spot of Barbel fishing!
The challenge was simple... the team to catch the biggest barbel would be crowned the winner!

Can some one please tell me where on the trent this is and any more swims can recomend near Nottingham for barbell as I've struggled this year been Bob's island smeaton and beeston already not a sniff

@@borwick117 If its any help mate, there is a day ticket stretch at a place called Fiskerton in nottmshire (5 quid a day) that is good for barbel. not sure where these were fishing in the vid.

ALARMS on a river......its a no for me.....BIG carp rods on a river....no for me....stick to dug out holes lads.

Carp rods...? They were Barbel/River rods Brad. A lot of the best fishing on the Trent can be during the hours of darkness, so alarms are pretty essential, unless you stay up all night. (But we had a long drive back the next day, so needed some sleep!)

El Carpo spomb dropper, or sbopper, can buy conversion kits, not officially sold 👍

El Carpo I got mine from Facebook on the Trent barbel group page, a few different sellers, also on eBay 👍

What a bore. Cross between carp fishing and a stag night. Doesn't anyone fish up close and personal for barbel any more - float, bomb, link ledger, anything but this sub-carp trapping.

Our Trent Challenge was filmed a few years back as a social trip and a lot of the best fishing on the tidal Trent (huge river) can be during the hours of darkness, so alarms are pretty essential, unless you stay up all night!
